Called, spoke to Janet and scheduled a gutter cleaning, agreeing to pay their $100/hr one-hour minimum to have my gutters cleaned --- all two (2) of them. Straight lines, one front and one back, each with one (1) downspout on the end. Couldn't be an easier job. I did it myself last year but, at age 75, don't like climbing extension ladders any more. Took them all of 20 minutes, with one guy climbing and one holding the ladder. That night, we got a heavy downpour and the back gutter overflowed everywhere. Called them. Janet said they would come back the following week and take a look but said it's probably "holes in the downspout", needing repair. Say what? The weather report was calling for flash flooding the next day so I climbed up there myself and found (surprise!) a big pile of twigs and dry leaves blocking the downspout, which I quickly and easily removed (see attached pics showing before and after I cleared the blockage). I called Janet back to cancel the return trip and indicated that I would be willing to accept a partial refund if offered. Janet ignored that suggestion and stated that the blockage must have formed after they did the job (8 hours?). Sounds to me like part of their MO --- i.e. they come back and report that the gutters and/or downspouts have failed and need to be replaced. As if $300/hour wasn't enough. AVOID!!!

ROOF ONLY LASTED 9 YEARS!!! The roof was replaced by Tom Kuhn in 2013. Issues presented themselves in 2018 and repairs were initiated by previous owners. 2022 more issues and missing singles occurred and we discovered the entire roof needed to be replaced due to the entire roof being high nailed. When Tom's son came out to review the situation he determined only a few shingles needed to be replaced without ever going on the roof or even using a drone. When we followed up with Tom he doubled back on information he formerly supplied and said the opposite. Very frustrating and unhelpful because of his refusal to supply documentation (which he previously referenced) we were not able to seek warranty coverage. Him refusing to supply the information (that he previously said he had and now said was only from memory.....who remembers a single repair from 4 years ago?) He ended costing us up to $11,000 that would have been covered.

I cannot express my gratitude enough for Tom, Don and Brian. Don and Brian were very professional, friendly and great with my three-year-old dog and one-year-old daughter running around. They spent about a month at our house during various projects and they were not intrusive at all. I appreciated how clean they kept everything. Don was great at explaining anything I asked and showing me how everything was going. I felt at home with them. I cannot recommend their work enough!

I have hired Kuhn's Home Improvements twice in the past 4 years. The first time I hired them to repair a rotted soffit on my back porch, as well as make repairs to the gutter/downspout and repaint the tin roof. After getting estimates from 5 different contractors, I chose them because of their reasonable price, availability, friendliness and professionalism. They did a fantastic job with this first repair and so when I needed the roof repainted again, as well as some other odd winter-readiness jobs I didn't bother getting estimates from other companies - I trusted Kuhn's and wanted to hire them again. This time I hired them to scrape and repaint the back porch roof, and tuck-point the brick and repair the gutter system on the front porch, which involved creating and installing a new evetube and installing a new downspout and elbow. With both jobs the Kuhn's crew was extremely professional. The woman who answers the phones for them always communicates when they are expected to begin work and updates you if weather changes that or if there are delays of any kind. The crew always arrive promptly as expected and work quickly and efficiently, cleaning up after they go. For both jobs they went out of their way to take care of other issues (without charging more), such as clearing a nearby gutter, spot painting as needed, trimming back a tree branch that was touching the roof, etc. This time I was very pleasantly surprised and grateful to see the crew even filled a large gap in my front steps, without me asking them to. I trust Kuhn's Home Improvements, and should I need additional repair work in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again. Highly recommended.

A number of areas needed plaster repaired in my home. I have textured plaster so the repairs required more than smooth plaster. They were very respectful of my property with regard to cleanup and protecting areas from dust and debris. I have used them before a few times and have always been pleased. It is a family business and a very courteous one. I will continue to use them for future work. Thank you!

Repair leaking roof in three places. Had to replace 5 shingles and install fascia trim on the box gutters. Cleaned and caulked gutters and downspouts. Called them at 4 PM Monday and made an appointment to see job Tuesday at 9 AM, show up right at 9 gave an estimate on the spot and returned Wednesday at 9 AM, did all of the repairs by Noon. They were very professional and polite will recommend them anytime.

Tom Kuhn, Dan and Brian are a family affair. They do very good work and showed up on time each day. They are easy  to talk to and remembered everything I told them. They are very knowledgeable and I beleive they can do any kind of work you ask them to do.
I showed them a picture of the way we wanted the railing for the steps made and they did it exactly.
We actually changed our mind on something when the work was completed. We called and they did not hesitate to return the next day and do the change.
We will hire them again for all future work we need.

I had a partial roof put on by these men about a year ago - I was extremely pleased with them then - the response time was excellent, the work was excellent, and the workers were incredibly kind.  Today I woke up to a stain in my ceiling from a leak.  I called Tom Kuhn and spoke to his wife and explained my problem.  She informed me that he was in the middle of a job and would not be able to get to me today, but would call me as soon as he could.  To my surprise, I heard from him a few hours later - he sent a couple guys over from a job they had finished for the day to take a look.  They explained the problem to me and it turned out to be from a part of the roof that had not been done by them.  Despite it not being their roof - they took the time and materials to do a patch job for me so that no more rain would get in through that leak - and then charged me absolutely nothing.  This is a rare find in my opinion and I could not be more thankful that there are still people/businesses out there that aren't trying to screw you.  When the time comes for me to get it properly repaired - you can be assured that I will call them and make sure THEY are the ones to get my business!

"Outstanding" is the word that best describes the services I recieved from Tom Kuhn Home Improvement. I needed my side porch replaced becasue it was falling apart. They gave me a very competitive bid, showed up on time, did the work very well, and cleaned up afterwards. This is the second time I used this firm. They replaced my roof about five years ago, and did an exellent job back then. I will call them again the next time I need the services they offer. You can't go wrong with Tom Kuhn.

We got some major rain a couple weeks ago and I noticed water on my kitchen floor coming from a leak in the ceiling. 
I called a few numbers from Angie's List but Tom Kuhn Home Improvement responded right away.  In fact, they were at my house within 1.5 hours from the time I called.  Both Don and Brian were awesome.  They spend some time identifying the problem, presented options, took pictures of the roof so I could see where the issue was.  They were very honest about letting me know that we really need a new roof and explained in detail why and then shared some different options.  They did the repair which is holding up as we explore our new roof options.  They even encouraged us to get different bids.  They are all about quality, integrity and honesty.  I really am grateful for them and I'd highly recommend them!!!
