They were very thorough and knowledgeable about plants. They took time to talk to me and later walked around the yard to see what plants I had and what I was interested in. They then, came up with a design, which met my criteria of low maintenance and still be attractive. They planted everything and gave detailed instructions, how to take care of the same. They also replaced the old dead plants with new ones. I liked them and will use their services in future.

They did some things very well. Then they announced that I was too hard from their shop and they would not be able to come out and maintain them. This distressed me because by then it was mid-summer and I wouldn't be able to get someone else. They are very, very knowledgeable about plants and they have a garden center, which was close enough for them to come out and sell and install the plants for me. I am not complaining about how they designed the garden layout and the planting. They are very good at that, but I had understood that they would continue to maintain the plants for the rest of the year. I would use them again for designing, but not maintaining.

Joan and Lynn came out to our house and walked around the yard with me for about an hour and 40 minutes, which was plenty for a small yard. They told me in great detail exactly how to help each plant/bush/tree that was having problems and when to do it (two bushes needed to be moved, one this fall, one next spring). Also lots of discussion about how to beautify it with new plantings, with very specific advice on what else to plant where based on the landscape, soil type, sun exposure, colors I prefer, issues I have (wanting something evergreen here, something flowery but low-maintenance there, something to cover a fence, something to help keep the evil neighbor's Chemlawn from splashing or drifting into our yard, etc.). I was taking notes, at their suggestion, and ended up with about 3 pages of notes, complete with exact names of a ton of different plants they suggested for various places in the yard. Very helpful.

They told us the price and the time it would take. I was interested in finding out what our plants were. They were very knowledgeable and detailed in their report.
