"Our apologies for not responding to these statements didn't come sooner , but we all here at SHP are in complete shock after reading this ,more so by who made the statements. Not to mention we have tried to call Ms [Removed member name] several times , left messages with no response. We have worked for Ms.[Removed member name] for just about 15 years and these comments are not only absurd & insulting as well as shocking & surprisingly. I am also greatly appalled & insulted by these comments , of " Its a female thing , we think females don't know what they are doing ". This comment makes me sick just to type & repeat what was commented. 85% of our business , believe it or not , is done with the ladies of the house. All we try to do , is make are customers happy & solve their problem. We are not that type of company that takes our customers for granted , we want to leave the customer happy , so that the customer will continue to call us in the future. If there was any trouble or questions she had , all she had to do was call our office , I have talked to her several times in the pass , and it was a pleasure speaking and joking around with her. We could have worked out anything she didn't like or wasn't happy with. Like I said , we do our best to make our customers happy. As far as this kitchen sink thing , I had no idea she was having trouble with her kitchen leaking, she never called us recently to have us look at it. Would have more than happy to look at it for her. About her toilet problem , yes does have a problem with her toilet drain. But also she has talked to us at least 2 times about completely redoing her bathroom, with new tub sink , etc. She elected not to fix the drain because she was planning the bathroom remodel & we told her that could fixed while the remodel was happening .Last job we did was in May of 2015 for a new shower head. She was pleasant and nice as always and she even recommended us to one of her colleagues at work , which we have done 2 jobs for since her recommendation.This is why we are so upset & confused about the statements she making in her review. I'm sorry to lose Ms [Removed member name] as a customer. She was always nice , funny and a pleasure to work for. But I'm not about the sit here and take these comments about my family & my employees lightly. This has been our family business since 1947 , and we have been in same spot for over 50 years. One of our employees has been here 30 years , the other 20+ years. We have been with BBB for almost 30 years with an A+ rating , which we take very seriously and do our best to maintain that rating. Never in all our years in business have ever been accused of being a sexist , bigot , racist etc , we have never been accused of such non-sense. Quite frankly , I'm surprised Angies List would let such a comment be posted since to us , it is inappropriate according to there guidelines. In closing , I want to wish Ms [Removed member name] the best on her future endeavors & good luck. It was pleasure working for you all these years , but after the comments above its obvious we are no longer doing business with her."

"When [name removed] called for an appointment , she requested a routine furnace cleaning for winter. Due to the time of year she called , we were extremely busy with other furnace cleanings, that our schedule was backed up for few weeks, as we get hundreds of these calls every year. She didn't want to wait that long , but wanted us to add her to our list , while she was going to try to get someone sooner. I explained to her , if she was going to call another company for a sooner appointment , I was not going to give her a date. I can't make a schedule around a " maybe " call. Not one time , did she mention that she had no heat. We consider no heat calls emergency calls , and we would have come the same day or next day the latest. Furnace cleanings take a back seat to our emergency calls , why it is so hard to book cleanings because our schedule changes daily from no heats , to no hot water & other emergency calls. We never turn down no heat calls , especially when its our equipment that breaks down. We always stand behind our equipment that we install. Again , if she would have explained she no heat , we have responded much sooner. She called for a furnace cleaning & check up , which is first come first serve basis. I am sorry this customer is upset , but as explained , cannot make a schedule around a " maybe " call. She would have gotten same day or next day service, as we do with all our customers , if she explained she had no heat."
