 + -1 moreWe initiated contact after seeing the display at Costco promoting their carpeting discounts for members. We were initially called by Krystyn (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly!), who came out to our home with a huge variety of samples that we were able to compare with our furniture, wall color, etc. It took a couple weeks for the carpeting to arrive, and when it did, we were able to schedule an appointment for installation within a week or so. The installers arrived right on time on the big day and went to work with impressive speed and skill. They even moved the heaviest furniture for us. They were nice to our dogs, which was important to us. By early afternoon, they had completed the installation in two large rooms plus stairs and a hallway, cleaned up everything, disposed of the old carpeting, packed up and left. We also received a followup call shortly afterward to confirm that everything had met our expectations. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Description of Work: We used Rusmur Floors because it was the local provider for the Costco members discount carpeting offer. We were very pleased with the personal service we received from Krystyn, who came to our home and showed us samples that we could see in the place it would ultimately go, getting a good idea of how each sample looked in the light of that room, how it looked with the furniture, etc. After we had chosen the carpeting we wanted, it turned out there was a mistake and the one we chose was not one that was offered with the Costco discount. Rusmur stepped up and discounted our selection for the same amount that Costco would have given us. The installers came to our home promptly and did a fantastic job, even in a couple places where they had to do a little extra work to get around the idiosyncrasies of our old house. They even moved furniture where necessary and were totally professional. We are very satisfied with the price, quality, and level of service we received from this company and have been recommending them to friends and family! We will be getting the second floor carpeted in the spring, and we will certainly go back to Rusmur then.

 + -1 morethe provider was on time for installation and the job went quickly as the apartment was empty (there was only 1 couch and loveseat to work around). however during the carpeting of the stairs there was damage to the stairs. rusmur couldn't/wouldn't fix it so it had to be repaired by another contractor on a later date. this also meant that rusmur would have to return at a later time to finish the job. additionally, the carpet installation left alot to be desired. there were many places along the edges that were not tucked in or tacked down well, and the edges (between rooms) were not cleanly approximated. when the man came to finish the stairs he also addressed these concerns--using tools to clean up edges, but we have found many more poorly done edges since. additionally, we are able to feel the tack strips along the edge in some areas! lastly, we have an area that has begun to unravel (we chose a berber carpet), and we chose this company and this style b/c they told us that if there were a snag, that this carpet was knotted so that it wouldn't keep unraveling...this is totally not the case!
