Mario and his team were great from the initial estimate through project completion. They explained the work to be done, provided recommendations, remained flexible when challenges came up, and showed up/worked hard every day (ours was not an easy job). The finished product is awesome and we couldn't be happier with the result. Mario was super friendly with our kids and very courteous to our neighbors which made the whole process a lot less stressful. Highly recommend. Fair price, great work.

Excellent! They were here early and worked hard all day. Did a wonderful job on our porch and sidewalk. Reasonably priced. Polite and professional. We would definitely use Mario again!!

Rullo Construction was contracted for my job. Mario is very personable and easy to talk too, but don't get fooled. He is very charismatic and because of that, you'll let things slide. Rullo's price for my particular job was in the middle of all the bids I received. $21000. For my particular job, Mario sub-contracted out the porch foundation repair/rebuild. Very nicely done and I am very happy with the result. During the process things were going well and I even advanced the payment schedule when Mario asked me too. We then got to the driveway things took a turn for the worse. Once the cement was poured, we followed all the guidelines and waited three weeks for it to harden completely before we drove on it. One of the first things we noticed was a crack like texture all over the cement. I called Mario but he was very non-responsive. Three weeks later, I noticed two large breaks/cracks in the bottom corner of the driveway right next to the curb. I called Mario again he was non-responsive. It took me at least 4-5 calls plus texts to get him to take a look. He cut a small section of the corner out and replaced it. The new patch didn't match the other concrete and is a real eye sore. By the Fall, just a few months after it was installed, we started noticing 4 holes in the concrete. It turns out that there were pieces of wood, like a wood knot in the concrete pour that have been working there way to the surface. We also had a fairly large surface chip break off and another chunk on the edge of one of the slabs. Its now almost exactly a year later and the bottom portion of the driveway that he fixed once already is broken and needs replaced. We called Mario at least 10-15 more times throughout the year and even ran into in the neighborhood to discuss the issue. Very non-responsive and I feel let down with him and the condition of the driveway in less than twelve months. My advice, look elsewhere and don't fall for the charm.

Mario and crew were professional and personable. All work was completed in a timely fashion even though weather problems complicated the timeline. The new concrete area looks even better than we ever expected. Mario and crew left the area clean and tidy. We cannot recommend Rullo highly enough and, in fact, have done so to several other people. We still plan to do a second phase of driveway replacement and will not hesitate to use Rullo for that work.

We had hired Rullo Construction years ago for work on a previous home and was extremely satisfied with the quality and professionalism of the job.  When we moved to our current home seven years ago, we wanted to have our front steps and walkway poured and asked Rullo Construction to quote the job again since we were so happy the first time.  Since we were in new construction, Mario (Co. Owner) would not accept the job for one year because he stated that the ground needed to settle or it would be a waste of money and work.  Due to my impatience (not wanting to wait one year), we asked a different contractor to bid the work.  The 2nd contractor was a lot cheaper and agreed to do the work (and said nothing about the settling).Needless to say, the ground did settle and the steps up to our front door pulled about 2" away from our house and the first step down was about a 15" drop (not safe at all - it was an accident waiting to happen!).  The curved walkway was on a slope which made for very dangerous conditions in the winter.  We needed to have that redone with steps built in to lessen the slope.
We called Rullo Construction back, without hesitation based on our prior experience with him and his expertise.  I feel he prices fairly for the quality of work he delivers.  We paid $6400 for the front and $9300 for the back wall (which was a job we added on knowing he was coming for the work in the front of the house).
His crew is very good and was very conscientious when working on our property.  We were battling bad weather conditions this spring which slowed up the project (rained several days) but when Mario could get his crew out here, the job was well done.
I would hire Mario (Rullo Contstruction) again in a second!

It went well. They removed an old, rusty shed and took it to recycling. They cut down a weed tree. The railroad tie wall was crumbling and in bad shape. Now there is a beautiful block wall with a cap that will last many decades. The wall looks very clean and neat. I love it and can't wait to start planting in the spring. They did a nice job of cleaning up afterwards. I love my new wall!

I had an issue with a car knocking some stones off of a wall in my driveway. Mario Rullo came out within a week to do the repair work.  He was very prompt with coming out. I couldn't be happier.

It went wonderfully.  He came when he said he would.  The work was done professionally and in a timely manner.  We can't say enough about how pleased we are with the work.  His crew was professional, friendly and just great to work with.  Their attention to detail was excellent.  We are so pleased that we went with his company.

I couldn't be happier with not only the work that was completed but also the responsiveness that Mario showed leading up to and during the job. Job took nearly 3 weeks to complete which is pretty much what I expected. As they were preparing to pour the new driveway Mario mentioned that it might not be a bad idea to have the sewer pipe replaced that was under the driveway, which I agreed with. Last thing we want to run into down the road is having to have the driveway torn up to replace a sewer pipe. Mario was able to arrange for someone to come out and replace the pipe on rather short notice. Added a little additional cost which I thought was well worth it and appreciated Mario suggesting this work be completed at the same time.

After the job had already been started I asked Mario about them also replacing a much smaller stone wall that was in the front of the house. Mario was very accommodating and agreed to perform that work as well.

Mario also arranged for someone to come out and install new wrought iron railing on the news steps that had been built as well as on the new front stoop.

The new steps and front stoop were also finished in exposed aggregate so when it was all said and done everything was very uniform and aesthetically pleasing.

Overall, and as stated earlier, I couldn't be happier with the work that Mario and his crew performed and would highly recommend them. His crew was always very friendly and did a great job of cleaning up. Over the course of the remaining summer I've had countless people in the neighborhood stop by to comment on how nice everything looked and to ask for Mario's contact information.

The other comment I would make is that Mario was one of several contractors I had come out to look at the job and give me an estimate, but he was by far the most responsive and based on other estimates I received his pricing was very fair.

Mario Rullo and his crew were awesome, plain and simple!!!
First of all, Mario had me a written estimate within a few days of our initial meeting.  Once we talked over a few things, he had a revised estimate and contract to me within the next few days.  EVERYTHING was outlined in the contract, which made it easy as can be to know exactly what he was gong to do and how much it was going to cost.
The price was great, by the way!! Over the last 3 years, I have had many estimates from many contractors, but Mario was the most reasonable for the quality of work that he offered.  He wasn't the cheapest, mind you, he was the most REASONABLE for the QUALITY of work he offered.
They were on time every day and worked on weekends to get the job done.  They were easy to work with when plans changed.  If they were going to be a little late, Mario would call and let me know.  (VERY unusual for contractors)
Mario's dad, Mario, Sr. was there almost every day.  He would get here early and set everything up for the rest of the crew.  when they did the concrete pouring, Sr. was right there with them shoveling, and finishing - not bad for a 72-year-old.  (I'm ashamed to say, but he's in much better shape than I am and he has me by almost 40 years.)
Greg was great, as well.  He busted his butt every day with everything that goes into concrete work - building and setting forms, pouring concrete and the all important finishing of the concrete.  Watching these guys makes you realize that this is a true art.
For the masonry work, Mario brought in Pat the Mason.  He was something to watch, too.  With Tim's help he built the walls. The stone walls are built with mortar, but in the dry-stack fashion.  In other words, it's made to look like the stones are just stacked one upon the other.  There is no visible mortar between the stones.  This is a specific look I was going for -- it's more rustic looking.  I know that this is not for everybody, but it's what I wanted.  The major point I want to make with regard to the mortared, but dry-stack look is that Mario is the ONLY contractor I met with that said he would be able to do this.
Mario was able to match the new brick for the stoop with the existing brick of the house -- it looks great!
The exposed aggregate combined with the rustic stone walls and the brick stoop/house looks GREAT! My wife and I couldn't be happier with the job they did.
Several of my neighbors have already asked me for Mario's contact info because they love the work he and his crew did on our house.
It's worth noting here that we live on a very narrow dead-end lane with houses close together.  Mario and his guys were very understanding and accommodating with the neighbors who needed to get by when they had trucks parked in the street.  Most times, they would park their trucks at the end of the street and walk to our house.  All of the neighbors have commented to us about how nice all the guys were as they walked to and from their trucks.
This is a first class contractor with class act guys working for them.  I recommend them highly.

The owner, Mario, is super nice and easy to work with, they did a good job, but, there was some room for improvement.  The price was good for the work we got done.  The quality was the issue, they were responsive, professional, and I would use them again in the future.  I give them high ratings.
