Horrible, not only did they tell my mother to come get her awnings if she wanted them up so badly, the woman at the desk hung up on her! I went to retrieve them and the rudeness continued by the 2 women telling me to F$%^&*^^! I quoted their webpage saying "reputation is built by many lost by 1" well this is the one. Poor response to a paying customer and I will spread the word about the horrible customer experience I have had with them. Never again.

This has been one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I called in March for an estimate to replace my awning as somehow it went from “good condition” to “poor condition” within the year. They forgot to get back to me and pull my awning. I had to follow up two weeks later. They told me they’d call back but instead mailed a quote. We decided to get our old awning put up instead of replacing this year. They told us it would be four -six weeks to get “on the schedule”. I called back two weeks later asking how much longer. They yelled and told me “another 4-6 weeks”. Then I called back and asked if I could come pick my awning up (they store it) to put ourselves. They told me at that point we were on the schedule to be put up that day. No slight rips were fixed (1 inch or smaller like the contract stated) and I called May 22 and another 4 times to finally get a call back July 7th to be told “if you don’t like us-take your business elsewhere”. We actually had another company look at our awning and stated it wasn’t in poor condition. Very poor business communication and ethic with this company. Do not recommend!

My issue was an awning that was hanging by a thread due to some high winds. My initial call was 4/13/18 and I was told they would send someone out the following week but never gave me a date. I called again on Tuesday 4/16 when I had not heard anything and the receptionist advised me they would send someone that afternoon or at the latest the next day 4/17. I called 4/17 when I had not heard and again expressed my concerns that the awning was in danger of blowing off. I was advised someone would call be back and I waited a couple of hours and decided to find another contractor. I totally get that it is not always possible to get emergencies in right away which is why I am not giving this company a failing rating. But what bothered me is that they kept dangling the carrot that someone would come when they knew that would not be the case.

Although things were delayed because of distributors, they called and kept me informed of what was going on. Really satisfied with the installation and appearance. Would highly recommend.

The installation was not completed correctly. The Rothman employees used the incorrect rods at different points of the install. Water pours onto my deck due to the way they installed the awning. This is a very simple awning, approx. 10' wide x 14' long. I was present and offered to explain what rods went where, but there was no response from any of the three men present.

I was given a 4-6 week time period to have the awnings made. They meet the time period, this is the 3rd set I've purchased. The company has always been very professional and they provide a quality product.

They where on time and professional. They had them made in about 3 weeks and came out and hung them up. Took them down in the fall and put up my old side curtain for the winter.

They were ok- but price for same - exact same item- much higher- after they left there was never any followup from them- not very interested in getting new customers. We ended up going with another company, Awnings by Paul and he was wonderful- we deal with him twice a year now for put up, take down and storage and he is the best!!!

An update to the first review: Rothman did come and fix this problem the same day that the first review was made. The service was very well done. The danger was the rod coming completely out of the material of the drop-down and impaling someone in the winds of the storms we have been having. The ropes also were untangled and it now can be raised and lowered without any problem. It seems that when you do make an inquiry, they do put in on the schedule and fit it in with other jobs within your area. There is no calling back and forth to get it on the schedule. Thank you Rothman for handling this situation so well, because of the danger that could have happened.

Everything went great. They came to the house last fall to measure and to provide a free estimate. We then selected a pattern and Rothman made the awning for us and installed it last week. It looks great! Rothman will store and clean the awning during the winter months.I believe that this awning wil serve us well for years to come.

Rothman said it would take 4-6 wks but actually called 2 1/2 wks later to say they were ready to install. Fantastic quality and service

Professional and prompt. Everyone we dealt with was pleasant. The new awnings look fantastic and the turn around time was shorter than anticipated.

Very good experience-great service-understanding when change made with order-professional and very helpful with ordering-quality of material outstanding. Must mention Bill-He was great!

Promptness: Gentleman arrived on-time for the estimate. Professionalism: Not easily identifiable. At least wear a company shirt so that people can identify you. Price: Price quoted was actually reasonable (he was one of four estimates received). Ended up going with another vendor based solely on professionalism and my home has a history with the other vendor.

I'm not sure if you can schedule an annual installation date because they typically have it put up (or taken down) within two weeks of my call, which is perfectly reasonable for my needs. After 10 years my awning still looks brand new to which I credit the quality materials Rothman used as well as their cleaning and storage process. I am very impressed with their service, and would highly recommend them to anyone. | |Full Disclosure: I gave the price an "A" although I've never priced anyone else to perform this service (due to my satisfaction with Rothman). However, the price seems very reasonable. | |Anecdote: I became obsessed with the idea of putting up mesh walls around the awning. I contacted Rothman to see if it could be done. Rather than merely dismissing this as a crazy idea they actually worked with me to explore the possibilities. Unfortunately due to the design of the original awning (dictated by the previous owner) the mesh screen was not feasible. However Rothman did everything they could to try to make it work.

Extremely prompt & within $100 of the lowest quote we received. Estimates on installation for other companies was 6 weeks and they installed in 2 weeks! Were even flexible with warrant and matched competing companies terms. We love the awning and would definitely recommend.

Bill arrived on time for our initial appointment. He was able to provide complete coverage for our deck which included an odd angle. He helped us in the color selection by being honest regarding what he has seen over the years regarding color fading on some of the fabrics. He reviewed the process of install, removal, cleaning and storage to us and answered all of our questions. Bill was very nice throughout our dealings together, in person and on the phone. A few weeks after we had ordered the awning we decided to make a change. We initially didn't cover just under 4 feet of our deck but then decided we should have. They were able to extend our awning and explained that the stitches may not look the same as the rest of the awning material. To be honest, I couldn't find a difference and I was looking for it. Bill and his crew came out a couple days later to extend the framework and then were out again in less than a week to install the awning. They never left a mess and were very quick to install the framework and awning. Bill explained a few times the process of having our awning taken off in the fall and put up in the spring, stating it typically takes at least 3 weeks from the time I would call to schedule the removal or install of the awning in the future. We love the awning and had a great experience withe Rothman.

The majority of the work was done well. The only hiccups were they changed the frame style after giving us the estimate. This used less materials and after some discussion the price was reduced somewhat. There are some puckers at the seams and the top by the house. We were told this would be corrected when they take the awning for winter storage. I hope that is true. Our daughter also used this company for her awning replacement. They also had a problem with the fit. The awning looks great over the deck. When using this company make sure that all is written down & not left to chance. We would use them again and we do recommend for others to use them.

They were very prompt about setting up an appointment to come out and quote the job. I accepted the job on the spot. Within 6 weeks, as they told me, the new frame was installed and the new awning was attached. The frame seems to be properly installed and looks terrific. The awning itself seems to be of good quality and well sewn. It looks beautiful. I would definitely contact Rothman Awning if I ever need a replacement.

we wanted an awning installed over our deck to keep it cool and more usable. We called Rothman Awning and asked them to come out an give us an estimate to cover a 16x16 deck. Within a few days a gentlemen came out explained what was going to be done, showed us samples of the canvas anwing and the different colors to choose from and gave us a price. The price was in our budget range. We hired them to do the job. We were told that the frame would be up within 10 days and the awning would be up a few weeks later. Rothman meet the dates and we had our awning up by Memorial Day. We have used our deck more since and are very pleased with the appearance and craftmanship.

It went very well. They are professionals. They were punctual and came out when they said they would.

They did quality work. They came out, gave me an estimate, and did the work. They were on time and there was no hurry/rush about getting it done.

This year it took 5-6 weeks to have my awning put up. I left several messages with their answering service during regular business hours and requested to have my awning water proofed at the same time. My phone messages to be contacted were never returned. When my awning was finally put up half of it was stained and permanently ruined. I was never warned of the possibility of staining and was never contacted by the company prior to the incident. I called weekly for a month to have somebody from the company see the damage that was caused to my property. I finally got ahold of the owner today and wanted only to discuss what could be done. The conversation quickly elevated. I was blamed for the problem and told "you've got to be F**king kidding me, file a lawsuit" and then was hung up on. As the president of the company she was very unprofessional. This company has TERRIBLE customer service.

We were very pleased with the workmanship and friendliness of the installers along with the office personnel.

Prompt response, excellent price and very quality awning! Well below estimates we received from Wagamans, Laurel and Indutex. Woud highly recommend.
