Rick was a little hard get a hold of, but the job was not an emergency. He gave me good advice about brands to look at ahead of time.

I used this plumber years ago two times and had a great experience which is why I called him to begin with.........I called on a Saturday afternoon at 4:20 PM due to having an issue with my bathtub faucet I was trying to replace. I needed to have the cartridge replaced because it blew out in my Mothers old house. Mr.Hartman said they might not be able to do anything if we didn't have the part I said that was fine I just need to have water in the rest in the house because I already shut off the main valve. When his partner Mike called he stated when we asked how much he stated every day of the year it would be $98.50 an hour with the exception of Christmas. We again asked if there was a charge for weekend call he said no everyday the same. Mike then tells us we have to pay travel ok we thought mileage fee is fair no they charged from LEAVING their house construction and traffic to our house at the $98.50 an hour and took two hours to get here then was here for five minutes turned two valves my husband and I could do in our basement ourselves and proceeds to charge us $250 stating it was a discount and would not be towards any work done once he has the parts ,faucets that he would have to approve only stating he only uses American copper or moen because they do not like delta ! These are bait and switch plumbers beware and get something on email or text faxed something in writing before using their service we paid in cash but will no longer be using their services due to not being forthcoming in their estimate as well as when confronting about the cost being rude in stating another company would have charged more........which in some cases is true b it I should have choice with given the truth when asking rate prior to arriving and not having to pay for someone an hourly rate to sit in construction or traffic!!!

He was fabulous, his whole crew was. Very reasonable and knowledgeable. He worked with the water company for me.

Rick and his crew arrived on time ready to get to work. They did exactly what was explained. A hole had to be made in my kitchen ceiling to get to the leak. No big mess was made and the problem was/is fixed. I am very pleased with Rick. He is very honest and reliable. I am hoping to have my bathroom remodeled next spring and I feel really confident to have Rick do the work.

He had a matter of fact approach and his price seemed reasonable. He didn't try to sell us more than what was necessary.

Rick called ahead of the appointment and came on time. He completed the test and the paperwork in about 15 minutes. We have used Rick for close to 20 years for different projects from routine problems to bathroom remodeling. Rick does professional work at the standard rates. He is always on time and is very responsive. I have recommended him to a number of people who have been satisfied with his services.

I've used Rick Hartman Plumbing and Heating Inc. for years. His price is reasonable and average, neither cheap nor expensive. He's top notch. Everything's good. He gets here right away. I had an emergency one time on a Saturday night. A pipe was leaking and I was going away the next day. He came over about 8:00 at night and didn't even charge me extra.

Rick continues to be a valuable asset to the list of people who help me maintain my home! I am pleased to say that he continues the fine work example set by his father before him. Honest, skilled, and a great resource for your plumbing needs, especially in times of emergency.

RIck was punctual and provided great service. He explained that the high winds from Hurricane Sandy most likely blew out the pilot light. He took measures to vacuum dust from underneath the heater and relit the pilot light.

The work was performed well, solving our problem with two leaking faucets and a leaky toilet. After the plumber left, we realized that the hot and cold water lines were switched on one of the faucets. Before we had a chance to call the company back, we received a courtesy call asking if the work was satisfactory. We explained about the problem with the water lines, and they promised to send someone out the next day to fix it. The plumber did return the next morning and corrected the problem. We were pleased with their concern about our satisfaction and the quality of their work.

I set up an appointment for someone to come to our house and provide an estimate for replacing a gas line. No one showed up for the appointment and I never received a call saying they wouldn't be there. I called several days later and left a message with the office explaining that no one had come to provide the estimate and asked to be called back to reschedule. I still haven't heard anything a week later.

As always, my call was answered promptly and professionally. The work was performed carefully with longevity and quality of repairs in mind. The worker cleaned up after himself and explained everything that was accomplished during his call. When we have plumbing issues, I always call Rick Hartman's with confidence that the work will be diagnosed correctly and repaired/installed in a quality manner.
