THE REMODEL WENT EXTREMELY WELL. RICH SCOTT WORKED WITH COMPLETE PROFESSIONALISM AND HIS KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE ENTIRE PROJECT WAS VERY EVIDENT. THE WORK WAS DONE IN A LOGICAL ORDER AND NOTHING WAS LEFT UNDONE OR FORGOTTEN. THE WORK WAS THOROUGH HE DID NOT TRY TO CUT ANY CORNERS. HE DISCUSSED THE REMODEL WITH US ON A DAILY BASIS SO WE COULD HAVE WHAT WE WANTED AND HE MADE SURE THAT THE FINISHED PRODUCT MET WITH OUR APPROVAL.
I WOULD DEFINITELY HIRE RICH SCOTT AGAIN.

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel
His work was of top condition, while giving me a very reasonable price. His work was flawless. He was extremely hardworking, meticulous and did an excellent job on my bathroom, especially the dry walling. Everything was perfect and I could not ask for me! I've gotten a lot of compliments on the excellent job Rich did for my bath from friends and family! Highly recommend him. In fact, he is also working on my master bedroom bath!

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel
It went well overall. We had issues with the designer he subcontracted to, but the overall product worked out well. I contacted Rich, and told him that we wanted to perform a $20K renovation on our kitchen. We discussed the gist of the work, and I indicated that we wanted to obtain and employ an actual designer to design the kitchen. Rich recommended a deisgner he had worked with previously, and this designer was brought on the project as a subcontractor to Rich. Rich worked very hard, including the actual construction of some of the fixtures and furniture in order to stay within our budget. His work ethic was excellent, and his progress was very good. We opened up the wall between our dining room and kitchen. We replaced every appliance in the kitchen, including sinks, sink fixtures, wall oven, refridgerator, ice maker, microwave, and range. He constructed a new peninsula bar/counter into which the microwave and counter top integrated, managed to design in additional storage, and custom fit the ice machine in as well. Granite was installed through a 3rd party. Do's: Do hire the designer directly and instead of through the subcontractor. Do be very specific and up front about what everyones roles, expectations and responsibilities are.

Deck and Porch Service
Everything went very smoothly from start to finish. When Rich Scott first came over to see what I needed done, he made observations, asked questions, and took the necessary measurements. The next day, he called with his estimate and said he could start my project the following Monday if I accepted his bid. I give Rich Scott an A+++ for his versality, professionalism, and fairness. He did a wonderful job on my stairs. When he finished them, they had to be approved by the building inspector. Because he built them to be very sturdy with extra reinforcement, they exceeded the building code specifications, and the inspector passed him with flying colors. Besides this major carpentry project, Rich did some minor work for me: cut down/hauled away a tree, fixed a door frame in the basement, put in new electrical switches, and installed a burglar-proof bolt. I believe him when he says he does "everything" from carpentry to plumbing to concrete driveways, etc. In the future whenever I need anything done related to repair or renovation, he will be the first person I call. Sometimes his uncle comes along to help Rich. His name is Rich Scott too. (Note: Their names are the same but they don't look alike, so you can't get them confused.) I'm told that Uncle Rich is a wizard mechanic. I don't doubt that he is but I'll find out for certain after he tunes up my lawnmower.

There were some unexpected extra costs due to poor condition of existing wood in some places (uncovered as aluminum siding was removed). Overall we were very pleased with the work that was done. We felt that we paid a reasonable price and quality of work and attention to detail was excellent.
