Quality of sound was very poor on the CDs they made from tapes. While we would have expected this from home-made tapes, we did not expect poor sound from commercial tapes. The CDs were returned and a request was made to redo them. There was no discernable improvement in the redone batch.
They also transferred vh tapes to DVDs. It helps to provide clearly labeled tapes and to specify how you want them organized on the DVDs (since they combine short videos--you do not get a DVD per video).

"(removed member name), You are more than welcome to bring the cassettes back in. Cassettes are transferred to stereo sound and match the quality of the source tape. Keep in mind that cassettes degrade over the years. We would welcome the opportunity to make this right for you. Thank you."
