RECREATE ur SPACE Interior Painting and Design

Please don't tell me, Angi, this "company" is in good standing with your company. If so, do some research, and see previous lawsuits against her, Including those that landed in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court. It unfortunate you make me have to put 1 star in the overall ratings for her, to submit this review. She's worth 0 stars. She's a two bit scam artist, and liar, nothing more. To anyone out there, needing a painter, NEVER, NEVER use this joke of a company. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way. She never came close to finishing the job, and ripped me off, big time. I would have sued her, as well, but she never had two nickels to rub together. BUYER BEWARE!!

A total nightmare. A fraud, scammer, didn't show up most days, fought with everyone, she refused to fix her mistakes walked out in middle of the jobs, Had to have professionals come and redo and again pay for the job to be done right. Sued her but her contracts were in a fake name. No checking account, lawyers couldn't find much about her. DO NOT USE THIS SCAM ARTIST UNLESS YOU WANT TO REDO HER WORK.

My home was empty all she had to do was put down the floor. Most days, she didn't show up until noon and gone by two. She would tell me one time and then 4 hours later show up work for an hour then leave. She had more excuses why she couldn't work then working. She left 1" spaces under all door jams, the floor started separating at the seams, which after talking with real professionals, found out that her screw ups could not be fixed that I had to have a new floor put in. She lied about the prices, Quoted me one price then changed it in the middle of the job because she screwed up. She fought with my contractors telling them they were ripping me off, they didn't know what they were doing, etc., so I had to keep them away from her. She walked out in the middle of the job and never finished, because I got mad and told her that if I knew she wasn't coming I would of had my other contractor finish his work. Never heard from her again. Should of looked at BBB and Angies list. She is a nightmare. STAY AWAY,

Reading the last review of Jan, 2019, brings back nightmares. She's a two bit con artist, and liar, nothing more. To the rooms she actually finished, the work was shoddy, at best. Then, at the conclusion of this debacle, she started scraping the hallway ceiling for about 10 minutes. Told me she didn't have the right scraper, and would be back. That was 3 years ago. I should have sued her, but why bother? The last reviewer is correct. She was always broke. So, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, for what that's worth. The bottom line? Don't make the same mistake we did. If you're thinking of hiring her, DON'T!!!

The worse experience ever. She tell me she was going to be there and never showed or showed up for 2 or 3 hours, always had some excuse as to why she couldn't come to work, or why she was late. She complained about everything and fought with other contractors, I mentioned about some of the screw ups but she couldn't fix it, her work was shoddy at best, She always needed money cause she was broke, I gave her money in advance to help her out, then she walked out never finished the job or returned calls. I filed a lawsuit against her in December 2017, she was served in late January, and I won, but she has no money to pay me for me to finish the work she started and never finished. What a nightmare. Wish I would of read Angies list first, the first 2 reviews are my nightmare exactly. I guess once she got my lawsuit, she put in how wonderful she was. Do not hire her,. She will not finish the job.

The worst experience ever. Never knew when she was going to show or leave or even show, which happened. The work she did had to be redone because it was so bad, I still have to have my floor fixed and have someone to finish the trim. To make matters worse, she fought with my other contractor because he was ripping me off. She walked off the job never finished but paid in full, because she was broke and needed the money. I wish I would of read Angie's list first, my experience was the same as that poor person. Horrible job, caused problems, got paid and left before job was done.

Let's just say, from this miserable experience, I also reported Recreate Ur Space to the Better Business Bureau. Enough said. The owner, true to form, ignored the complaint to the BBB, and NEVER responded. Why am I not surprised? Yet, how refreshing to know, through your service, there are reputable companies out there, to contact. One in particular, fixed the disaster done here. In, finishing the job, promised, then ignored, and NEVER completed, by Recreate Ur Space. I lost count how many times she promised to return, and never did. Soon, this new company, NOT Recreate Ur Space, will be painting our other house, as well as the homes, of two friends. Work, Recreate Ur Space could have had. But, for the fact, I don't recommend people, who can't be trusted. Thank you, Angie's List! You made a horrible situation, a whole lot better!

Excellent work. She has unmatched vision in creating beauty in a room that was otherwise nondescript. Her work was immaculate, precise and done on schedule. Price was extremely fair and she even took the time to get me some great deals on fixtures/accents. Can't wait to have her transform another space in my home!

She was very professional, on time and took the time needed to do the job correctly. Her prices were reasonable. She created a new wonderful space in my home. Now I just sit and look beautiful work she has done.

A totally miserable experience. To call doing business with this company a nightmare, is an incredible understatement. And, she and I were supposedly friends! I'd hate to see how she treats her enemies. 

WHEN she showed up, work was shoddy, at best. Missed corners, poor quality materials, and literally left, a hallway partially scraped, a basement half done, and a house half painted. Promising to return, at least a half dozen times in 18 months, she never did. Along the way, making excuses, and lying at will. Her word meant absolutely nothing.

Additionally, she sold me fixtures, i.e., high end blinds, chandeliers, etc., with the promise to install, everything. Never did. When I asked for reimbursement, she said she got everything for me, near to cost. So what! Is it doing me any good, sitting in my basement?

Then, while this debacle was playing out, had the audacity to ask if she could buy my house, in a "land deal," or through me providing financing. Thankfully, TRUE friends who really had my back, suggested, in no uncertain terms, why would I even consider a proposition like this, with someone like this?

I joined Angie's list, because I got it horribly wrong, using this company. I have pictures, written documentation, and a house half painted, to prove everything I stated, is true.

I don't intend to get it wrong, again.
