PNC MORTGAGE

Quoted rates and terms in beginning of process that after all appraisal work was done and paid for they came back and changed which forced us to look elsewhere. This of course ruined our plans for construction of an addition this summer. We chose a different company that was much more responsive and punctual. Unfortunately we lost approximately 1200.00 as the incorrect appraisal we were forced to pay for was not accepted by the other bank.very shady operations for such a large company.

They guided me every step of the way through the remortgage process via telephone or computer, they were always friendly and very willing to explain things to me.

Applying for a refi through PNC was hands down one of the worst financial decisions I have ever made. PNC highly devalued my house. I bought my house in Dec 2008 and after adding a full bathroom and bed room (3rd story remodel), refinishing the hardwood floors, renovating 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, putting in a new boiler, and adding insulation along with countless other projects they only increased the value of my house ~5%. They used very poor comparable properties in the area and ignored high value comparibles. I like them as my bank, but their mortgage services are borderline discriminatory.

I was pleased with their service but I would use them again if I ever refinanced again.
