These guys are a joke. I was told that they do work all over the Pittsburgh area but it only really seemed like it was the main guy and his two workers who seemed to have been doing drywall for about a month. When I questioned some of the quality of the work they did I was told it was because the guys were new and still learning the skill.
They only work from about 10am-2pm. They take about 2 breaks and a lunch in that time frame.
I swear they were smoking pot in my driveway during the work breaks.
Original estimate for time was 3-4 days. Ended up being 2-1/2 weeks.
My entire house was a mess and they didn't clean up after themselves.
-Did not hang plastic
- Did not leave the plastic that I finally hung in place
- Tracked drywall dust all over my house to go to the bathroom, downstairs to clean their tools, and outside to smoke.
- I was 7 months pregnant and had to scrub the house clean after they left.
Quality of work was very poor.
- Could see screws throughout the walls
- corners and seams at top of walls were not straight or well mudded at all.
- could see tape throughout the bathroom (I was told this was normal, even the tape falling off was normal).
- drywall all over the brand new windows and screens. some windows would not even open due to drywall being caked on them.
- told me they would come back for one touch up visit. My husband went through and put blue tape on any spot that needed fixed (including the spot in the ceiling that one of them had put his hand through and then acted like nothing was wrong with it). When they returned they acted like we were being ridiculous.
Very argumentative:
After their touch up visit they were mad that there was still so much work to be done. I had talked to my husband and knew he was about 5 minutes from our home and I wanted him to see the work before they left. The owner told me that he was not going to stay because I had said it looked fine and that was all that mattered. He was very rude, yelled at me, and told me I was being ridiculous. My husband did come home and thought the work was horrible but we just let them leave because we didn't want to deal with them anymore. The workmanship looked horrible and we spent the next two weekends fixing the work they had done before we could paint. We could have done this project better than they did.
Things I was told:
"Drywall is never supposed to look perfect"
"You are supposed to see the tape and nails"
"The type of drywall and tools we use don't produce dust"
"The reason the work isn't good is because my guys are still learning to use the tools and I need to be patient with them"
"It doesn't matter what your husband thinks of the work if you say it looks okay"
I am sure I can go on for several more paragraphs about why you shouldn't use this company but I hope you get my point. DON'T USE THEM. YOU WILL REGRET IT. THERE IS A REASON THEY SHOW UP SO QUICKLY TO DO ESTIMATES AND DO THE WORK, THEY ARE NOT IN DEMAND OR BUSY BECAUSE THEY ARE TERRIBLE.

They responded quickly to our call for an estimate and showed up on time. The price was reasonable. A service date was planned soon, and they arrived as scheduled. The work was completed professionally with very little cleanup after they left. We were quite satisfied with this company and would not hesitate to use them again. They did a good job.

Called and they were there the next day to give us an estimate.
Estimate was a little higher than I expected.
Talked with them a couple days later to have them scheduled for the next week.
Arrived on time, with all the materials needed for the job.
Quality of work was good.
They completed the work faster than originally they said it would take.
Price ended up being less than the original estimate.
My only complaint was that it took me a while to clean up after them but plaster and drywall work is a bit messy.

We were general contracting the project ourselves and with everything that had to be done we put off finding a drywall contractor until the last minute. We found Pittsburgh Drywall & Plaster Co. while doing a google search for contractors. We contacted their office and they came out the next day and gave us a written quote. We decided to hire them and they had the contract and insurance certificate faxed out the next day. They began the job of hanging the day they committed to start, and were done 2 days earlier than anticipated, the finishing was neat and clean and they were able to match the plaster in our house to the new drywall. Would recommend.
