I know that no company is perfect, but Pitell Granite comes pretty close. They just finished their third project for me, a granite countertop and island in my new kitchen and we couldn’t be happier. It is beautiful! The kitchen required nearly 35 linear feet of stone. Due to the size of the run, it required a seam, and it is so expertly fabricated and installed that the seam is nearly invisible. The Pitell team was great to work with and the price was very competitive. I heartily recommend them!

Pitell Granite did a really nice job of installing the granite kitchen countertop within half a day. It looks awesome.

We selected a slab of granite from one of Pitell's suppliers they don't have a lot of granite on hand but they have local suppliers they work.  Price was very competitive. Install crew was good.  We did have an alignment issue between two pieces and they came out and fixed it promptly.  I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We loved working with Pitell Granite! We talked to and got estimates from about 6 different fabricators. From our first visit to the shop, Dave was friendly and informative, and their estimate was one of the lowest we received. When visiting other fabricators we often felt rushed or felt like we were just a number, we NEVER felt that way with Pitell. Dave and Teresa really took the time to listen to us and our vision, and give us honest opinions and recommendations. Teresa was always quick to respond to e-mails and phone calls, always willing to answer any questions we had and just a joy to work with! From measurement to install was three weeks and the installation went off without a hitch! Everything fit perfectly, the installers were all friendly and professional and really worked to make sure that everything was perfect! They answered any and all questions we had about caring for the granite, and were very considerate of our home, cleaning up even the smallest messes and taking out their trash. The seams in our granite match up and are almost impossible to see, they listened to our requests to place certain parts of the slab in certain places, and everything looks amazing! We don't have single complaint about any step of the process with Pitell and we would absolutely recommend them! We plan to use them again in the future when we redo our bathroom and for any future granite needs!!

Very happy with the entire experience, from the service to the finished product. I probably could have gotten a better price, but you often get what you pay for. I recommend them and will use them again.

Excellent experience from start to finish.  David and Teresa provided information and support in a very non-pushy manner that assisted us with choosing the type of granite and the exact slabs that we wanted for our kitchen remodel.

Provider was very easy to work with and did an excellent job.  We selected slab at supplier and had delivered to the shop. Was measured  to exact specifications and install went very smoothly.  End product was exceptional.  I would recommend Pitell over any other granite top supplier.

Dave was prompt, professional and willing to share design ideas and suggestions. He worked around our schedule and their pricing was competitive. Follow up and responsiveness was excellent. Pitell was recommended by a contractor friend, and we would definitely recommend to others. Our kitchen is beautiful. It's all about the counter tops!

Very smoothly. They kept to the timeline we had discussed with them, and worked well to coordinate with our contractors.

We're two-time customers of Pitell Granite. The first job occurred in 2003. Pitell was the low bidder out of three bids, and did a decent job installing countertops at our home. Some of the seams between the slabs could have been buffed more smoothly, and we had a terrible time getting the installtion scheduled and performed in a timely manner, but we were thrilled with the price (nearly $1,000 less than the next highest bid for the same granite). We like to support local small businesses, so we got a bid from Pitell on a recent job (2009). This time they were the low bid by just $200. And they were the only place that had the granite we wanted. We signed a contract that called for half up front, half on completion. We paid the half up front and the job began. But there was a defect in our sink and the job got delayed for a week. That's when things turned bad. We decided -- without ever being asked -- to send the Pitells a progress payment (40% of the total -- so when you factor in our deposit they had 90% of the contract price). They were so upset that we hadn't sent 100% -- even though the job was nowhere near done -- that they actually threatened to "just glue our backsplashes on the wall anywhere" and they refused to keep appointments that they had promised to keep. They even showed up on the jobsite just to tell our trim carpenter how horrible we were (this after they complained that they were making too many trips to the jobsite). Some other problems: They promised to waive the final $600 payment and then later demanded it despite the fact that the job is STILL unfinished. They told me that they were "slow," had only one other small job, and that they would "come to my job as often as it took." They then complained vociferously when I asked them to finish the job. Frankly, they give the strong impression that they're desperate for money and about to "go under." They never did finish the job. The backsplash installation was shoddy -- significant gaps were left between the backsplash and the cabinet trim. The sink faucet holes were not cut in a straight line. And they never cleaned or polished the granite or left us the cleaner/polish called for in the contract. I won't give them an "F," because their pricing is great, and I can live with the flaws in their handiwork. But I do sincerely regret choosing them. They ignored their own contract, acted unprofessionally, and didn't do a good job. I could not in good conscience recommend them to anyone. Maybe they'll call, apologize, and finish the job right. But I expect I'll never hear from them again. We had over 15 subcontractors working on this project. They were the worst.
