"Perf-a-Lawn has been family owned and operated for 30 years. During this time, we have never encountered any type of complaints regarding granular fertilizers causing any type of erosion to surfaces. After speaking with [member name removed], no resolution was able to be agreed upon. [member name removed] was assured that the products we applied to the lawn would not cause any of this type of damage. We turned the matter over to our insurance agency so that they may determine if the damage was the company’s fault. After investigation, we were notified that Erie Insurance investigated the issue and Perf-a-Lawn was not responsible for the pool damages. A portion of the adjuster’s findings is as follows: “Our insured indicated that they had laid down a granular fertilizer application on your lawn in August of this year. Based on your statement to ERIE, you indicated that the fertilizer stuck to the exterior of your pool walls causing discoloration and when you scrubbed it clean, a pinhole emerged. Our insured has not received any complaints of this nature in the past and has been in business for over 30 years. My insured indicates that their fertilizers would not cause this sort of damage to pools”"
