I called provide and stated no work was performed and no estimate provided, i expalined that clearly, I also sent a letter to the owner and spoke to him again
he sent invoice again adding 10% each month, my mom Rachel Irdi , who is 87 years old called the provider/owner and left a message , the owner called me and left a message
my mom is sick and he keeps sending a bill for no work performed or no estimate provided I cannot believe the owner continues to do this , every time my mother gets an invoice she gets very upset, we will never use this service again and will possibly pursue other action
"[Member Name Removed] I tried calling you multiple times including today and never received a reply to my calls. We were called for this service (back in July) for a leaking pipe in the basement. With travel time to the job site (one way) and investigation of the problem we had a total of 1.5 hours total time involved. Our service charge is 1 hour minimum. I billed you for one plumber for one hour. Total of $95.00 instead of two plumbers for 1.5 hours totalling $195.00. From our diagnosis, water line risers were leaking inside the wall on the first floor and leaking into the basement therefore, I feel the invoice is justified. If you would like to call and speak with Tim Pawlak please do so 412-341-2815."
When I spoke with someone at the company, I was told that this reflected the price that they paid from their plumbing supplier plus a 15% mark-up. So the question is whether Pawlak Plumbing is being ripped-off by their supplier or whether they are not being honest about the price. And while it is not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things, I don't think it speaks well to their integrity as a company, and I will no longer use or recommend them.
