"The consultation process and what it would entail was discussed on the phone before it occurred. At the consultation, an organizing plan was made with the client on how to proceed. Resources and suggestions were provided during the consultation. As part of our service, we do take donations that are not too large to Goodwill (a local charity), and this was discussed with the client. The organizing plan moving forward was discussed at the consultation, and was agreed upon and a contract was signed. This organizing plan was given to the professional organizers before the organizing session occurred. There was a delay in responding back to the client. I had been sick and I admit that I made a mistake by not responding in a more timely manner. As far as the feedback on the professional organizers that were sent to work with her:I appreciate, as always, feedback on the services provided. I use that feedback to discuss situations with my professional organizers, as well as to resolve any issues that might have presented themselves during the session. There are rarely issues, but it seems in this case, there simply was a lack of chemistry and mis-communication between the client and one of the professional organizers. I have since spoken to the client (before this review was published) and apologized for the one professional organizer's perceived issue. The client was cordial and seemed to be on "OK" terms. I was informed that she had already engaged another company. The professional organizers were scheduled for 4 hours, but left after 3 and one-half hours per the client's request to stop. I offered to refund that one-half hour, and she told me that she felt that 4 hours was appropriate, as they delivered many donations to charity. After the phone conversation, I mailed her a check for one-half the cost of the session ($240) as an act of goodwill knowing that the client was satisfied with one of the professional organizers. Note that during the working session, the professional organizer that "spent a lot of time checking her phone" had at least 2 phone calls to our office to get resources and attempt to resolve an issue where the client had building materials that she wanted to dispose of, but her trash company would not take them and she did not want to use the services of a paid hauler. These large items could not be taken as charitable donations to Goodwill."
