The owners are very nice and accommodating.  A few times I had to reschedule at the last minute and they were always accommodating to my schedule.    I never used a cleaning service before, so I don't have anything to compare it to but I wish they offered a deeper cleaning (at least on occasion).   I also would have preferred to come home to a freshly cleaned scented apartment.   I suspect they probably use unscented products and some people may prefer that, but I'd rather have a clean scent than none.  
Overall, they were trustworthy and good to deal with and I would recommend Mr. Maids to anyone looking for light, regular cleaning.   I recently moved to a larger home and I discontinued my service because of the move and I probably will not resume due to cost (and I'm still unpacking) for several months.   I would consider using Mr. Maids again, but I will probably try out some other providers that offer more than surface cleaning (seasonal cleaning and windows for example) and compare prices.   

Jim from Mr. Maid came over to assess our condo and to provide a price for weekly cleaning ($90 plus tax). He thoroughly determined what they could and could not do, spending a long time discussing. After deciding to give his service a try, they cleaned for us for about 4 weeks. During that time I was in contact with him twice regarding the service. He had originally stated that some furniture could be moved to clean if it was easy to slide or pick up. Also he said that dishes could be cleaned and dirty sheets could be put in the washer. When this was not happening I contacted the person coming in to clean, as well as Jim. The person coming in to clean said that what I was asking for was way above and beyond the normal services and would cost more to complete (which was not anything extravagant). This was opposite of what Jim had told me. When I corresponded with Jim and told him that I did not believe it was above and beyond our agreement and should not be charged more, he responded by saying that they would not clean for me any more. I was happy that he was honest, but I felt very deceived by him. It was if he was trying to get more money out of me and when I told him I disagreed, he didn't want any part of my business. He did promptly return my keys, which I also appreciated. I would caution anyone using his service to get in writing everything that you want them to do, and make sure he doesn't try and charge you more. I would also make sure that the person doing the cleaning fully understands the requirements of them and does what you're paying them for. I won't ever use their services because it is outrageous to charge $90+ to clean a small condo on a weekly basis and then back out of the original agreement. I have found multiple other services that will do more work and charge less.

We were not pleased with their service.  The service was good when they did it, but sometimes they didn't show up when they were supposed to.  They had excuses like the son has to go to the Doctor and stuff.  I thought if they were a cleaning company than they should have other people to do the cleaning.  We only had her coming once a month, so there was a couple times when we had people in from out of town and we called and wanted the day changed from a Tuesday to a Thursday to have the cleaning.  They couldn't accommodate us.  It was never on our schedule, they always had to do it on their schedule.  Then there were times when they didn't show up on their schedule, so it was a bit frustrating.  The owner of the company was a bit brash.  He was not understanding when we would call and try and get them to come another day.  They said they really need to keep the schedule.  I said if they run a service business then they really should be servicing people.  I think it was because he only had one girl cleaning for him.  I could be wrong about that, but he didn't want to bring anybody else over.

Angel has been cleaning our home the entire time (more than a year) we've used their service (other workers come and go for various reasons). Angel is an exceptional cleaner and very kind to our four children. It's not easy to find a cleaning service who will work with our schedule when we have many little kids at home. Mr. Maid has worked to accommodate us. It is so nice to have people coming into our home that we know and are familiar with.The one time I was displeased with the vaccuming, I contacted Jim and he deducted money from our bill since we weren't able to let them back to reclean. Since then I have had some small issues but cleaning a 100+year old home is not easy and they do a great job for only two people. Overall I am very happy with their services.

They cleaned but not well. We parted company after I called the owner to complain. He did not like me complaining and said they did not want to work with me if I was going to complain. Now, three other people in my condo building have stopped using them. My advice to others would be to stay away and I will not use them again in the future.

Both my husband and I work and have 2 young children.  Housecleaning has taken a backseat to life activities. Mr. Maid followed up with phone calls to schedule a walk thru and then to eventually schedule the work.  Yesterday, a young lady arrived to do the work.  She was professional, focused on getting the job done and did great work.  I work out of my home office and she was purposeful in not interupting me (even when I wasn't on the phone).  I would highly recommend Mr. Maid.

Mr. Maid is very responsive.  I called to schedule for an estimate and Jim came out immediately and walked through my home, taking notes on my specific requests.  We agreed on a price and had a cleaner in my home within a week or so.  I have a regular cleaner who comes once every two weeks.

Overall, the experience has been very positive. They were responsive (called me right back), and did exactly what they said they would do. It's the same employee every time, she's professional, polite, and kind. The price is very fair and alot less than another company that I checked out. I'll continue using this company in the future.

If you are looking for a trustworthy, honest and very thorough cleaning service, look no further.  From the initial time that Jim and his wife came out to our home to do a pre-first-clean-visit and ensure that their estimate was fair to both parties, the service is A+.

Mr. Maid pays his employees well so their services are a bit more that what we were paying to a self-employed cleaning professional.  However, this allows Mr. Maid to hire a higher quality cleaning professional.  We have been very impressed with the caliber of the people that have cleaned our home.

Even though we are paying more we are actually saving money because of the quality of the job being done.  Our previous cleaning professional was a wonderful lady but the house was too much for her and the quality suffered.  We now have complete peace of mind.

I would wholeheartedly endorse Mr. Maid.

There was a huge discrepancy between what they charged me and what the girl who came to clean was being paid by them. I know there is a lot of behind-the-scenes effort that goes into finding and training good people, and making sure somebody shows up, etc, but it still felt shameful that the person who actually did the work earned such a small fraction of what I paid for her time.

I was very pleased with the professional attitude of all involved.  Work was done and I was satisfied.

The owner first met with my father to look over the apartment and discuss what he wanted done. The cleaner came a few days later and my father reports that she did an extremely thorough job. "She worked hard--never stopped moving for 3 1/2 hours," he said.

We have been using the services of Mr. Maid for the past month and a half to clean our 2-3 bedroom house. While there are no children here, we do have several dogs and 2 cats. I have been extremely pleased with the service. The first visit, when the house truly needed a huge makeover was only about $140, which was more than fair. While I know that there are other companies that are cheaper for ongoing service, I think this was a good choice - the service has been of excellent quality, the estimate was free, and the price is by no means astronomic.

They were good and seemed honest. They were quick and do a good job. The price was fair.

Choosing from Angies List, I called Jim and scheduled a housecleaning based on his estimate and description of services. I am a very lax housekeeper and Jim and his crew did a fantastic job of making the place feel like it was move-in fresh. I particularly enjoy the well-scrubbed bathrooms and the more than surface clean kitchen. I have decided to continue using his service due to their efficiency and the quality of their work. I am a planner, and they arrived precisely at agreed upon hour. Price will not be as much now that first time is done--will schedule monthly and see if I wish more frequent cleaning. Very polite and easy to deal with.

If there was something they missed, he came out and finished it himself. The job went well and I will probably use them again.

I am extremely pleased with the housecleaning service that Jim Jones promised me. Everything I asked for was performed by the housecleaner. The job exceeded my expectations. The company even checked back and asked if anything needed to be redone, which was not required. I will not hesitate to refer Mr. Maid to friends and family. I also enjoy Mr Maid's blog which is full of good information. An A+ job.

Jim promptly responded to my initial phone call and came out to give me an estimate, which unlike most companies, he gave to me right after we toured my house. While I thought that the price was on the high side, because of his efficient and thorough manner during the interview/estimate I felt that his work was going to be worth the cost. Kristin was assigned as my housekeeper and has been the only one to clean here, except when she was on vacation (and the replacement staff did a good job). We have two 50 lb. dogs that create quite a mess on my floors and furniture as well as being in the house when Kristin is cleaning. There have been times when some dog hair remains after the cleaning, but I have been working with Kristin and Jim to get all of the items on my "clean this" wish list taken care of. Sometimes I feel like I'm being too picky, but they have both reacted pleasantly and professionally to all of my requests. I really feel that this is a company that I can keep because their work is consistent, they are willing to work with me to make me happy, and my house is so nice and clean when Kristin is finished.
