. Severely amateur work, too many problems to list but here are the highlights:
Most of the joints are not even close to being flush.
Didn't even cut small boards to match other boards.
Broke small pieces off then glued back together and used.
Even with precut holes -left off rails.
Three main rails- none match.
Bottom of the railing is approximately 6-7 inches from step at one end, closer to two inches at the other.
The angled cuts are not even close to being flush and are attached at the points.Again none match.
Large jaged cracks in the wood where they used screws. Most of the wood is already cracking after a few weeks.
The Owner looked it over and agreed there were some problems although his so called carpenter claimed it was quality work. His argument was that they gave us a good price.
Owner agreed to fix some of the problems but never showed at appointed time-now won't answer phone calls or emails.
Also never painted or filled screw holes. Will probably have to tear it all down and have it redone.
After reviewing the work ( which I obviously should have done before i paid them!) I've come to the conclusion that they don't have the skills to do the job correctly.
I have no carpentry knowledge and could have done a similar job. That Bad! I hesitated to post this but approximately a year later ( less time if you count the painting that they finally did) the work is falling apart and the terrible paint job is peeling off.
