They are the very best.

Have been using Michel Landscaping for over 4 years now. They mow the lawn every week on the same day once I call them and stop when I tell them. They will also not mow when asked or if the grass didn't grow too much that week. You can always talk to the workers who are very friendly. When needed, I've asked them to put the grass clippings in our composter. They trim our bushes/hedges twice a year for a very reasonable price. We have a lot of bushes (@ 300 ft). We also asked them to remove 3 large bushes when we moved in. They also have the following services that we don't use: yard cleaning in the spring and fall and snow removal in the winter.

Dan, the owner, responded to my initial voicemail inquiry in a timely way and arrived at the site the following day as scheduled. He is personable and down-to-earth. We arrived at a price on the spot, and he followed up with a written quotation at the same price. His crew of five arrived within a week of my accepting the quotation in three freshly washed, late-model trucks. In six hours they excavated a ten-foot long, five-foot high run of a partially collapsed drystack retaining wall, rebuilt the wall, back-filled with three-inch Mexican beach pebbles for drainage, uprooted a twenty-foot run of pyracantha bushes that had topped the old wall, raked the affected ground, removed all debris, and left the surrounding property neater than they found it. They will return for additional stone work that I have been holding off on in hopes of finding the right team. I found it.

The rose bushes arrived a week earlier than expected. Beverly and Dan advised me by phone how to preserve them until they could squeeze me in their packed schedule. Without their expertise I would not have known what to do! I would highly recommend them and their nursery is so beautiful with so many choices of flowers!

Reasonable pricing but not very communicative with the customer and quality of lawn care has been a little spotty. They use the large stand behind mowers that cause turf damage after a rain and unfortunately did not repair damage. Owner is a good guy but his staff are not very careful.

They do a great job and I like them a lot. They are hardworkers.

They are reliable and I can call the owner for specific projects. This is the best company I have found on Angie's List.

Also in the winter in the time they shovel the driveway and sidewalk first thing in the morning they are here for me.

This company is wonderful, just excellent. The owner himself comes out to make sure the work is done. I would say this is the best company I've tried, and I've tried many others. This company even does snow removal in the winter! They are there like clockwork and do the best work I've ever seen!

He does an excellent job with grass cutting and a fairly good job with weeding and trimming. He's gone above and beyond a few times for me. He has stayed fair and did not overcharge me. He is on time, like clockwork.

Our first impression of Dan was he was very professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. We were so satisfied with the work done that we planned on hiring him in the future for ongoing services. However, the bill we received was higher than the estimate that he provided and that was very disappointing. We didn't chose to have all of the services performed suggested in the estimate yet our bill was still higher. Dan told us that both the estimate and the bill were correct and didn't admit to doing anything extra. We are not satisfied with the outcome and will have to look for another landscaper.

They do great work. Michel really listens and is honest. Their price is also competitive. I contacted nearly 35 landscapers on Angie's List and he was one of the few that I felt was honest and reliable.

Dan Michel (owner) came out to assess our situation (we had an area of our lawn which was basically swamp-like because of poor drainage), listened to our thoughts and concerns, then proposed several solutions. At times he steered us away from more expensive ideas that he thought wouldn't work as well, and was extremely honest and easy to work with. The crew arrived as expected, cleaned up the area when they left. There was one area that we wanted some additional work beyond what they did, and when I called Dan about it, his crew was out several days later to do the work without problems. Overall, a very positive experience.

They were reliable and reasonably priced. I had hoped they could do more lawn maintenance and landscaping work for me (esp., weed and feed, trimming shrubbery, insect control, etc.). Dan, when he came out to estimate the job initially, had said that they would be happy to do these as I requested. But the problem turned out to be requesting the services -- neither e-mails nor phone messages got responded to (and no one ever showed up to do the work). I'm not sure what happened. In any case, after getting no response, I typically did these jobs myself 6 weeks later. The mowing was reliable and reasonably priced. Worst mistake was one of their guys mowed my chrysanthemum bed (admittedly, it was weedy). One nice thing they did was, when a large tree branch fell (12' by 5" diameter) they voluntarily got rid of it.

Dan did very good work on my lawn. It looks good. He also does planting and snow removal for me as well. He is very reliable. Another thing they did was replace a fence for me one time, replace a sidewalk and all kinds of work. They build walls and everything. They are very reasonable in terms of price and they do good work.

These men are great to work with. They are professional, pleasant, helpful, creative, flexible, etc. The wall is BEAUTIFUL. I wish that we would have gone straight to them for the job. They were subcontracted for us through another company (not great to deal with). I would use them again and recommend them to anyone. They do great work.
