He did excellent work! He was very professional, explained everything well, and cleaned up very thoroughly. I was very impressed and will definitely hire him again in the future.

My entire experience with Mike Kalanish was superb. 
He is extremely responsive- returning my phone calls/messages within hours.  He was always very prompt- always showing up exactly when he said he would.  He was very professional- taking the time to explain (and re-explain) everything to me until I was comfortable.  He offered up various solutions to my problems and really took the time to understand my end-game before providing his final recommendation.   He offered up fair pricing for the work performed.
Note- I live in a very old house (1920's) that has plaster everything and then wallpaper covering all of the plaster!
He was very neat- always preparing the area and then fully cleaning up after he finished the project.
He was very professional and friendly and just a pure pleasure to work with. 
Also- just as important- the final work product is amazing!  Truly amazing job done....I am thrilled.  I can't even believe that they are the same walls as when we started!

When we purchased our new home, we scraped wallpaper off and washed the walls in three rooms on the third floor in our home. Since the home is close to 100 years old, the walls as well as the ceilings were extremely damaged, cracking, and crumbling.  The ceilings had 3-4 layers of wallpaper on them but when we started removing it, the ceilings damaged areas began to worsen.  Mike came and gave us an estimate to prep and plaster the walls with a texture as well as install Blueboard on the ceilings(to correct ceiling cracks and strengthen ceiling) before plastering over them with a swirl texture.  Mike brought samples of the different textures for us to see.  As a courtesy, Mike also agreed to patch an area of our living-room that was damaged if we agreed to his proposal. Mike and his crew were very courteous and polite.  They knew we needed to move in very soon so they actually came and did the work on the weekends and in their spare time prior to the start date so that the job would be ahead of schedule.  The covered everywhere that they would be walking (including our stairway) with plastic and thick tarps as to not damage our carpets.  Mike kept me updated and was always available when I called (or returned my call promptly).  The job was finished in a more than reasonable amount of time and was cleaned up to our satisfaction.The end result was very professional.  The walls look great and the ceiling swirls/design are quite perfect looking.  Mike also helped me to choose the best type of primer to seal the work and after painting the walls it looks fabulous.  We will be calling him again soon to do our third floor and would strongly recommend his company to others.
