I E signed a contract but I heard nothing for around 20 days.... I spoke with a representative or maybe one of the bosses about canceling after 20 days after E signing and they said “ you will be charged around 2300$ for restocking fees” So I went with Meredith anyway because they put a dumpster in my driveway and figured ,”why not” When I finally did I was told the guy who sold it to me was in Tahiti or somewhere ?‍♂️ Lol. I’m not kidding . So that’s why I didn’t hear from anybody. .... I wasn’t occupying the home at the time . I was moving into the house were the work was being done ... cost me around $8800.00. Their work was done in 1 day . I never saw it being done so I can’t comment on that... but they only did the main roof . So the back and front porch roofs would be extra . I have to keep a garbage can under the one part when it rains ... No joke. So I called and was told by a representative told me they only estimated the main 8800$ roof and NOT my front and back porch ... I was afraid to ask how much!!!.... I was like “good lord that’s a lot of money!!!” .... I mean good craftsmanship but 8800$ for a roof then have to pay extra for them to do the front and back porch??? .. then there was a dumpster in my driveway for around 30 days ... I should of charge them for that.... but it was a good learning experience if I ever get more work done to this home to NOT go with Meredith ... the whole experience was bad . ... Even the emails .

Great salesman, great product and warranty

TERRIBLE AND STRESSFUL EXPERIENCE. DO NOT HIRE. We had a very bad roofing experience with MHI. I would never recommend MHI! We found MHI online. We did our homework, or so we thought. We met with multiple roofers and received multiple bids. We went to MHI because (1) their salesperson was professional, (2) we looked at houses MHI had done with similar, complex roofs, (3) their salesperson assured us that MHI hires its own crews and only uses 2-3 different crews and doesn't subcontract, and (4) their salesperson stated that a foreman from MHI would oversee the crew the entire time they were here. We were told the job would take 2 days. It ultimately took about 2 months and we're still not confident that the roof was installed correctly. When the crew arrived to remove our existing roof and install the new one, the foreman initially showed up but then disappeared. After that, he only ever came when we called. The crew showed up at weird times and would always start working just before it would rain or would try to work when it was dark (how could they see what they were doing?). Our roof is complex with a turret (cone). The top of the cone has a decorative finial. We told the foreman when he was here that first day to have the crew remove it, set it aside, and put it back as is when completed. The finial is a burnt-orange color that matches the trim on our house. When the crew was "finished" with our roof, the finial was crooked and painted black. Upon closer inspection, we found they had broken it and glued it back together, and then painted it black. This was just the start of the issues we had when the crew said they were "done" with the roof. Many of the shingles were not sitting flat, the cone looked terrible (like crooked teeth), our gutter was damaged, the trim around the roof of our porch was damaged from a rope that the roofers tied themselves to, and the chimney flashing was obviously not installed correctly because we could see the shiny metal under and in between the shingles. Also, we ended up with water damage in our house around one of the chimneys because after removing the roof near the chimney, they left everything uncovered right before a big rainstorm came through. When we confronted MHI about all of this, they said they couldn't believe it because they "regularly use this crew and never had any complaints or issues before". To MHI's credit, they did send someone from their team to come fix the various issues we encountered. This man, Ralph, was very nice and we felt bad because when he showed up he clearly was unaware of the extent of items that needed to be fixed. After a few weeks, Ralph was able to take care of most of the issues. That being said, when it came time to pay MHI, MHI tried charging us for replacement wood. We know that the crew did not use any replacement wood because (1) we can see the underside of our roof in our attic and wood that we were told was replaced was clearly not (before the roof installation the undersides all had paint splattered on them and they look exactly the same following the roof installation), and (2) we asked the foreman and he said that he "did not set the crew up with any replacement wood". When we addressed this issue with MHI's business manager, he was extremely rude about it. Fortunately, they didn't charge us for the wood, but he refused to believe that the crew did not use any replacement wood yet we have pictures of old v. new. We waited to pay in full before we made sure to get everything fixed. MHI's business manager was extremely rude about this as well. I really can't impress upon you enough how stressful of a process this was. Oh . . . and how could I forget: my husband and I each had to take off about a week of work to be home during this process and while MHI tried to fix the interior water damage. They did re-drywall and re-paint but the painter only re-painted the area of the wall that had to be re-drywalled. So, now it looks like we have a big line down the middle of our wall. The picture below is AFTER the crew said they were "finished". I really hope that MHI never again uses the crew that worked on our house.

Excellent replaced the entire roof and two porch roofs plus tore down old chimney in two days

It went well. They showed up and got a majority of the work done in 2 days. They had to come back to fix a finish up a few things here and there but because they started in January, they had to work around the weather.

Didn’t go at all!

I apologize - this is long. Our project was completed back on 8/2016. We had issues going into the project which in hindsight should have been enough for us to drop them and find someone else. With me being pregnant at the time, we wanted to project completed before our baby was due. We had issues with the initial permitting and our township office. Meredith couldn't produce proper drawings for out porch roof to be approved. It took weeks for Ty to hire an architect to get the drawings completed - he thought just handing a pencil drawing on a scratch piece of paper was sufficient... Fast forward after completion of the project - the crew was courteous and efficient. A few months later we noticed (during fall rainy season) water running down the front of our house, leaving our front door area wet (it now has a ROOF). We called and called and finally got them to come out. Their solution? Add caulking... We tried for 2 years to get them to come out again and we got the run around (that's if we were able to actually talk to some one.) We finally got another roofing company to come out and inspect. We thought maybe they used to incorrect flashing. After inspection, we found out along with incorrect flashing, the ENTIRE roof was installed incorrectly and water was leaking in between the siding. Luckily everything was covered by the GAF warranty and we weren't tied to using Meredith to make the repairs since it was 2 years after initial install. The management practices of this company is appalling and is the reason why contractors get a bad name. Not to mention the staff turnaround. They are swindling thousands of dollars out of homeowners and employing contractors who do not know how to do proper installs. Their license needs to be revoked. It's down right shameful. All went well. Zack, the sales rep, was friendly and didn't pressure us at all. He took his time to make sure we understood the options and the process. The crew that did the work was very efficient and did a great job of cleaning up both days they were here. They were a little more expensive than another company, but they were high quality all around. The roof looks great!

We got delayed and an opening came up an the work was seemed to be fit in between other jobs. the work that was done was pretty good. They did have to come back and redo a window that was done fairly sloppy and they blew off two vents that were never completed. Ty the owner is a pretty nice fella but I think he's just go way to many irons in the fire and the project in the end felt like we were marginalized. Also they left a sign in my yard for months that we ended up pitching in the trash and no follow up call.

I contracted with Meredith Home Improvements for a new roofing project. I had 4 estimates and they weren't the lowest (2nd lowest) cost but I felt more comfortable with them from the get go. Cameron (our salesman) was open and honest at the forefront. The team led by Danny arrived at 7:30am and were completely finished and cleaned up by 3:30pm. Very professional and informative throughout the day. Andy from Meredith was here as well and very helpful. The job was done wonderfully and the roof looks fantastic. I would have full faith in hiring them for a job in the future.

Meredith Home Improvement gave us high quality work. They were very courteous and knowledgeable. Meredith went above and beyond what was expected out of them. My wife and I would highly recommend them to complete any projects you may need.

Our experience, as always with Meredith, was excellent. When we signed the contract, we were given an approximate number of weeks out until the work would start. The timing was spot on. Our dumpster was delivered on the start day early AM and the crew began work as soon as it arrived. Everyone involved with our project was professional and courteous. Our new roof looks amazing and our yard was left in the same condition it was before we started!

When about 20 tiles were ripped off the roof by The Big Wind the other day I had to scramble to get it fixed before the rain and snow came again. These guys came in same day I called to check the roof and bid replacing it since it's 25 years old. I had a bid from last year already when I had needed a repair. This company's bid was significantly lower... I'm talking less than half the other companies bid. The sales guy showed me what they would do on his IPAD. They put padding/insulation down under the new shingles so even if they would blow off water will still not get in. 25 year warranty. The work looked and ended up being extremely professional. They came that night to repair the roof free of charge since I had contracted for the new one. Then they called a few days later to schedule the new roof. Sent 6 guys and had the whole thing done in one day. Looks great If you need a new roof definitely get a bid from these guys.
