He was absolutely wonderful. I thought his pricing was fair. It was a one-day job. He was pretty overloaded with his schedule but he, as soon as he could work me in, he worked me into and his crew was good and the clean up was good. It was a good job.

The service was good.  Three guys came out and it took two days to complete the job.  I did find a few things that were not cleaned-up but it was less than expected.  They were quiet and just did their job.  I called, got the estimate and told him I would call after I checked other places.  When I called to schedule the work, he was on vacation.  He said he would be back to pick up the payment on a Friday and it was a few days before he came.  He didn't get paid on the day the services were completed because I had to leave but he was okay with that.

The work hasn't been done yet.

Replaced an outside deck, approx. 10' x 12' stairs from ground level.

it was fantastic!  Mark came over (by arrangement) and installed an extension cord from an electric outlet in the garage the night before, and then arrived the next morning as I left for work at 7:30 AM, and when I got home at 4 PM, it was all done (perfectly) and Mark and his equipment were gone.  I trusted him to work while I was gone because other reviewers had, and it worked out extremely well.  The quality of work is excellent, and dealing with Mark is a pleasure--he is very clear and upfront in making arrangements, and he keeps his word.  If I need more work of this type, I will call Mark again.

Mr. Honess was very prompt and constantly in touch before the work began.  He told me it would take 3+ days to install and the installation was over $3,000.00; which I agreed to have done at the price quoted.  I had not checked with any other contractors because I had gone to school with his deceased brother and felt comfortable with him.  I should have gotten other estimates, I know that now.

The work was completed in one afternoon by two of his workers, he was on site only briefly that day.  The work was finished and looked good.  Within a day a couple of the pickets surrounding my porch came loose.  He did return and they were fixed.  Then it happened again;  once again they were repaired.

Then the gate (which alone was $400 to purchase before his fee was added on) started falling apart.  He returned and put it back together.  Within a few days, it happened again.  He said he would contact the manufacturer (Gray Mills).  He showed up one day and stated he was taking a picture of it.  Another day he came by after telling me it would be replaced, and this time he came by to "measure" it.  I would have thought he would  have had that information from the original order.  I have sent dozens of emails and made several calls that now go unanswered.  So far, the gate remains broken - oh, yes, one of his responses to this broken gate was "remove it".  Certainly not what I wanted to hear since the purpose of this gate was to prevent my infant/toddler grandson, as well as my two small dogs. from being able to access the steps.

This has been going on for over 2 years and I have been receiving a run around.  I am very disappointed in this job and in this contractor.  This was a great deal of money to pay for something that was never done right.  Even the tops of the posts have blown off in heavy winds.  My next step is to contact Gray Mills or H. P. Starr Lumber who sold the products.  NO - I would not recommend Honess to anyone and would not use him again.

Professional and on time. I had the roof done next by a different company, when two pieces of soffit started to pop loose ( more due to the roofing dudes, and dudes is a loose description ) he was out there fixing the Soffit & Fascia within the week. Thanks, I am very happy.

The porch was finished in no time at all, and looks 100% better than it did before.  It is now wonderfully easy to care for, and looks beautiful from the street as well as up close.
Mark has done much work at our house, and always, he shows up when he says he will, and the work is done as if he were working on his own house.  It's always a very pleasant experience, and we trust him completely.  You can't say that about just anybody nowadays.  Cannot recommend Mark highly enough!

He was great and his price was very reasonable.  He's prompt, he will adjust his schedule to a homeowner's schedule, he cleaned up very well after his crew came in, his work was exceptional, the materials he used were very, very good.  He's real easy to work with...good guy.  He's an A plus.

   All went well. The team that Mark Honess has put together is efficient and competent.
