They called me later to tell me it was a dead battery. I was pleased with their general attitude and they always make me feel welcome. I would recommend them and I would definitely use them again.

I got an oil change at Iezzi's yesterday. Went I went to drive my car away on the side street where it was parked, one of my brand new tires was completely flat. I called Iezzi's and someone came with an air compressor to fill my tire enough to get me back to the shop, then directed me to drive the wrong way down a one-way street which resulted in me being yelled at by another driver. Once back in the shop, they tried to figure out where the problem came from and guessed that the leak had to do with the valve remaining open after they checked the tire pressure. When I asked what I should do if I continue to have problems with that tire now, the response was "I don't know why you would". Nobody ever said "sorry for the inconvenience" or "it is too bad this happened" or "please let us know if you have further trouble" or ANYTHING that indicated any remorse about the situation or good customer service. I 100% get that stuff happens and it may have been out of their control, but I went to them for an oil change and left with a flat tire. Someone saying "hey - sorry" would've been all that it took to not leave feeling crummy about it. I had to arrange for someone else to pick up my kids from school and the situation was a hassle that I would've preferred to avoid. A small acknowledgement of that is all I needed to not leave Iezzi's with a bad taste in my mouth.

I had gone to Pep Boys to get my oil changed because I was going to be in that area and thought I would kill 2 birds with one stone. They told me that the shocks in the back needed immediate replacement. I was worried about an accident and I always take my car to Lou's for work so I drove it right over to him to see if it was safe to drive and to make an appointment for new rear shocks. Lou himself put it up on the rack, called me over and showed me that a cover on the shock was badly rusted but the shock itself was fine. He knew I was going to trade in the car shortly and he did not see any problem that needed immediate repair.
If he had just told me I needed shocks, I would have got new ones.
I think that was an example of a fine mechanic.

I was to pick up my car, and with inspection, it needed new brake pads. Lou Iezzi's son, who is very involved in the business, told me that I should ease when I use the brakes for the first 100 miles so that they would last much longer. I told him that it was the first time that anyone had given me that advice. He told me that it was because they want your business and they want you to wear out your brakes so that you would come back. I just thought that was very interesting and I really appreciated it. I think they do a great job. We have been very happy with them. I have no way of judging the price, but I am married to a guy who is very careful about that kind of thing, so I would say that the price must be right. The quality is excellent.

We were not positive that the brakes needed to be changed, as nothing seemed to change even after putting new brakes. We were not sure that the brakes needed to be changed at all. However, the body repair work they did once was good and another time the price they charged us was more than the estimate. They did not think that some part of the car needed work and they ended up doing it. I like companies that stick to what they indicate first. The quality of work they do is good.

I took the car in for an estimate to repair the dings, scratches and push the bumper back into place (slight misalignment). To have the work done with a high degree of professionalism would have cost me, as per the estimate, over $1200. which was more than I wanted to pay. But for $150 he agreed to do a very quick pass over the car, covering bare spots, rubbing out scratches, and pushing the bumper back into place. The job was done on time, and pleasantly, though some of the paint was blobby, not sanded down to a smooth finish. (The blobiness didn't impress me). Plus, as agreed, he pulled out some dings and pushed in the front bumper, which was damaged from a tow. Since I only paid $150. and I figure I certainly got my money's worth. The car looks much better, as long as you don't look really closely, so mission accomplished! I've rarely seem such a clean garage! Its unusual and very pleasant in that way.

We dropped the car off at night and picked it up two days later in the morning. When we got there, there were still people there, even though they were closed and they were able to bring the car inside for the night. We only had to pay the deductible.
