When the plumber came to look at the problems we were having he said they would be in touch with a quote for the work. I had a conversation with him about the shower and tub fixtures. We have polished brass fixtures, shower rod and lighting in the bathroom. I told him I understood that brass or gold color is rare now but it would be ok to install something in the gold family, brushed or polished. I even told him that if he couldn’t find any gold that I saw them online from from Home Depot or Lowe’s and to tell me what was needed and I would order it. Someone called to set up a time to do the work about 2 weeks after the consultation. A quick search for gold or brass tub and shower faucet combo on the Home Depot website brought up 146 results. Knechtel has good reviews and was recommended on a neighborhood Facebook page so not having anything in writing didn’t concern me too much. I assumed they were able to get gold and the price of the work would be reasonable. Both of those assumptions turned out to be wrong. I almost told them to wait until I could get gold or brass but we had been without the shower for several weeks and I didn’t want to wait. Very unhappy with the price and the chrome fixtures. The shower knob and temperature control seem loose. The work took about 7-8 hours for one plumber, not the same who had come to see the problem. In addition, the paint around the panel is chipped, it appears the panel was completely removed instead of just the part that is supposed to snap out. There are dirty fingerprints in various areas too.

Crew was efficient and professional. Work was performed as estimated with minimal disruption to household. Work was excellent and crew was very attentive to cleaning up all through the process. Crew worked closely with floor replacement contractor to minimize inconvenience to us.

I've went to the them from when I bought my house any plumbing and things that I've had done I go thru them. They allowed me to make payments and they never say we need you to make $80 payments.

They were always reasonable and if I can make payments without paying interest. If I call them for something like the toilet running over, they are right there.

I want to be clear that the work was performed very well.  They were available the same day we called.  It was the cleanliness that we had issues with.

We had a toiled that was leaking slightly onto our bathroom floor.  After shutting off the water and flushing the toilet several times to drain all of the water, the plumber stuck a rag into the toilet to soak up the remaining water (using his bare hands).  Still using his bare hands, he squeezed the rag so that the water(from our toilet bowl) drained into a bucket he was carrying.  He did this several times and there was a decent amount of water in the bucket.  Then he dumped the bucket of toilet water into the sink. 

After he did this and replaced the seal around the toilet, my girlfriend said "feel free to wash your hands".  He said "I wash my hands throughout the day" and didn't wash his hands.

He came out to look and was supposed to get back with me but he didn't.  The pipes did stop rattling so I let it go.

Extremely pleased with the work.  They showed up on time.  They went above and beyond in the basement as they noticed some poor work done by previous owners and made improvements.  Price was reasonable (actually a little lower than expected based on previous work we had done).  Would definitely recommend.

Knechtel was amazing! I found water was gushing into my basement from a pipe burst in two places at 6 am one morning shortly after the polar vortex. I'm sure tons of people suffered the same issue at that exact moment. Knechtel sent someone out who fixed the pipe and had everything clean by 11 am! It was amazing! He was quick and thorough and it was a very reasonable price.

Fine.  Everything is working.  I have an old house.  They're good at working on it.

Knechtel Plumbing always seem to do a thorough job. They know what they are doing. Their pricing was reasonable. They are very reliable and it is a local business. We have used them numerous times.

I will use them again. He couldn't have been better. He took his time. He did a lovely job. The price seemed to be fair. I still would have liked it cheaper, but so would everyone. His equipment was very good.

I have used them several times, and they have always been very dependable. They have a good price; however, it is tough to grade the price as nobody wants to pay for anything. I would give them high recommendations and would use them again in the future.

I'm happy with the work performed and will have Knechtal Plumbing work at my home again.
