John was very friendly and a pleasure to talk to you. He showed up on time. Did a great job. And made my hundred-year-old piano sound beautiful. I was lucky to find someone who is this knowledgeable about his profession. I would recommend John to anybody I know.

John responded quickly, set up an appointment with a couple of days, showed up promptly, and did an excellent job tuning the piano. I will definitely use him again!

The pianos sound great. He even fixed some minor repairs for no extra charge. And listening to him play the piano was a bonus – what talent!  

Another piano tuner told me my piano was too old and not repairable, and he couldn't tune it because it might break. John Melaney came to my house and fixed a broken key and showed me how to clean the keys and redo the keys. He left me some materials to do that with. He gave me an extra key that would work on my piano, in case my kids broke it again. He was pretty well fantastic. He told me my piano was fine. He tuned it professionally, whereas the other guy just wanted to do it by ear. It's an older piano and it's still a little under-tuned, but he did what he could. It was going to be a risk to get a full tune-up, and he left it to me to decide whether I wanted to take that risk. I don't have to get a new piano. This is perfect, for my young kids. Finding him was amazing. He also told me how to use a screwdriver if I lose another key.

He was very courteous, friendly, experienced, and had a very pleasant personality.

This is the 3rd or 4th time that I have had John tune my piano. He was recommended by my piano teacher. He's great. He arrives for an appointment on time. He is very friendly, courteous and completely professional. The instrument sounds wonderful when he's done. He has made several small repairs to problems that he's discovered. These have been well done. And I love keeping this marvelous old piano working as well as sounding great. This man is great at what he does, loves what he does and it shows in his outlook, skill and results.

I have used John for many years. I would never use anyone else. He does excellent work, is prompt, courteous and very easy to get along with.
