It didn't. Contacted them and left message and did not get a return call. Waited 10 days and called again and once again no return call. Sorry, at least have the courtesy of returning a call if you are actively advertising business (Clipper magazine).

We were given an original timetable of May to have this work done. We did not hear from the contractor until 2 days before the actual work was started in early August. The concrete was poured in 2 separate divisions (area near top of the driveway & front door area pad on day 1, lower portion of driveway and sidewalk on day 2) over 2 different days. We left for a scheduled vacation shortly after the completion of the work. Upon our return we discovered that concrete had been splashed on the brick front wall of our garage area. After a heavy rain we also discovered that the height of the new concrete driveway was higher than the original driveway. Therefore our brick sidewalk that is beside the garage wall and leads from the front of the house to the back patio now floods constantly. The water gathers on the brick sidewalk and does not run down the driveway. After the first winter the lower driveway and sidewalk showed some signs of pitting. After the second winter (2012) the lower driveway and sidewalk concrete areas became pitted and aggregate stone was showing through the top of the concrete. Ironically, the upper driveway area and the front door concrete pad did not show this type of problem. A registered letter with accompanying photos was mailed to JMK Concrete, marked to the attention of owner Joseph Knapp. The envelope was returned as undeliverable. We then started calling the phone number used when speaking to the contractor prior to the job. Over 20 phone calls were made, messages left, letter re-mailed ...... Mr. Knapp responded to our first group of phone calls just one time. He assured me he would come to our house to assess the three problems: (1) concrete on the brick front wall, (2) raised level of driveway at side walkway that was causing flooding and (3) the beginning of the lower driveway and sidewalk pitting. He never showed and never returned any other phone call. We continued to make phone calls and leave messages for several more months. No response. This contractor is still in business as we have seen his trucks on the road and the company has advertisements in local media. It is now 4 years after this concrete was poured. The lower driveway has large areas of pitted concrete as does the sidewalk. We have given up trying to get the contractor to contact us. The concrete is still splashed on the front of our garage wall, the sidewalk connecting to the driveway still floods and the lower driveway and sidewalk are still falling apart. We were very please with the initial work, but are very upset that the ensuing problems have never been addressed by the contractor - Joseph Knapp. His work replaced concrete that was over 30 years old. Our current driveway and sidewalk looks worse than the material he was hired to replace.

Their price was fair.

My wife and I discussed the details of the job and contacted Joe and said we wanted him to do the job. He asked us to go to his supplier to view the stone and select the type and color. He said he would get started in approximately 3 weeks, we contacted him after a few weeks never receiving a call back stating that he could not do the job or that he didn?t want to do the job, he just blew us off. If he had no interest in doing the job from the start he should not have told us he would do it, so now we were several weeks behind and had to start the search for a new contractor again. Very poor way to run a business.

The workers were fine when they were working. They were late in doing it because it was later in the season. They were the only ones who would actually do it. We got an exposed sidewalk. The sidewalk cracked within five months, and they would not stand behind their work. The concrete cracked because of the ice. I would hate for someone else to spend that kind of money and get work like that. The person who owns it, Joseph, didn't actually do the work. His workers cut a line to our lamp post, so we had to pay $250 to get our light fixed. They wouldn't acknowledge that. They said they didn't do it. We spent a lot of money, and it was just a horrible, horrible experience. They just would not fix their work. We tried to take them to court, but they told us that we could not make them show up. We just let it go because we would have had to spend more money for that. We had to have two big sections of it redone by somebody else. The owner kept telling us that our kids put salt on the sidewalk. The work just wasn't done right.

They always return my calls promptly. They show up when they say they will and are very professional. They used good quality materials. Everything I requested from them was done. Their price was good and I would recommend them.

JMK had a crew of 5 to do the work. This was a two day project. During the first day the crew took out the old driveway, excavated, built the limestone base and framed the driveway and walk. The next day they poured and finished the concrete. I was very pleased with their work. The crew seemed to work well together, you could tell they knew their job and was very professional. I feel very comfortable with JMK work and would recommend the company to anyone needing concrete work. Note:I had two price estimates from JMK, one from 2006 and one from 2007. The estimates differed by $40.
