"A woman named [Members Name] at this residence called and scheduled an appointment. I informed her I would have something available in a week (she told me it wasn't an emergency) but if I had a cancellation she would like to take the earlier appointment. When I arrived as scheduled at the residence, [Members Name] was the only one home and that is who I dealt with. I could tell from looking at the Emtek lock she purchased for $325.00 from a hardware store and wanted me to install that it wouldn't fit the existing holes in the door. Due to the trim on the door, I was not able to use the jig required to drill the proper sized hole to install that lock. I gave her options and she decided to purchase a doorknob and deadbolt from me that I could get to work with the existing holes in the door. After I was done installing these locks, she was satisfied with the job that I did. I charged her for the time I was there working, not as she puts it "yacking". As for the $60 service call, that is a standard charge in my business that everyone pays for me to show up at the door. As for the $51 labor charge, that was for the time I was there to install the locks. She told me she would return the lock she purchased for $325.00 to the hardware store she bought it from and that they would charge her a restocking fee."
