Joe and his team from James Moving are terrific! From the first phone call, to the in-home estimate, to moving day itself, they were always prompt, courteous, and caring. I had a lot of heavy, bulky furniture (including a baby grand piano) and many heavy boxes as part of my move, but the James crew never complained. Despite muggy, 90-degree temperatures, they worked diligently from start to finish throughout the 11-hour job. No slacking off. Nothing seems to have been damaged. My final price came out to about $200 more than the estimate, but that is because there were a few unforeseen delays on the unloading end of things that were not the movers' fault. Still, for the job done, I think the price was very reasonable. I plan to call James Moving first if I need to move again.

James Moving used two trucks and six men to move us.  All of the fellows were professional, polite and "fun".  They had a great rapport with each other and with us.  They were careful and efficient.  We have some very heavy pieces and probably most of them went to a third floor loft.  They put the furniture back together properly and completed the move quickly.  Their pricing was fair and the whole experience was a positive one.  Would definitely use them again.

Working with James Moving Co. was a pleasure. Joe, who will come out to give you an estimate, is one of the friendliest guys you'll talk to all week. He warned us we were right on the edge of needing two trucks, told us what to move ourselves to make it work in one, and he was spot on. The truck was filled to the limits, with just a few miscellaneous items for us to take ourselves. His cost estimate was also spot on, and in fact final cost came in just under his estimate- always a delight. 
The crew was great. Seemed a little terse at first, but after things warmed up they were joking and friendly as can be. And of course helpful all the way through. Dale knows how to load a truck and will make sure things are done right and efficiently. Overall, I can't imagine our move going better.

James showed up exactly on time the day of my scheduled move with 2 trucks and 6 men. My driveway has a lot of sharp bends and mature low hanging trees and they were the only moving co.to offer two smaller trucks instead of one very large truck. They were very efficient and worked hard. They made sure that the more costly furniture was wrapped and protected and or strapped to the truck so there wouldn't be any shifting. When we arrived at the new house they quickly unloaded as I directed where to put the furniture. This is a must if you want things to go smooth. Overall, they did a great job. Only one piece of furniture got damaged,and it wasn't addressed how it happened. This is why I gave them a B on quality. The price ended up being lower than the estimate because we moved all of the boxes and container ourselves.

They arrived on time.  There were plenty of workers, I believe a total of 6 men.  they estimated to be done around 5:00 but were done two hours ahead of schedule.
I did not do a good job of packing as many of my boxes were too heavy but they never complained.  They worked hard.

They were fine. I recalled they couldn't get everything in one truck. They did bring the rest of it a day or two later and didn't charge us extra. They were definitely very good. The quality of their service was fine. I didn't have any particular problems with them. They weren't cheap but they did move a lot of stuff, we had a huge truck full of stuff.

It went extremely well. The crew was phenomenal. Non stop work ethic. NOTHING was broken. all of the stairs - all of my heavy HEAVY stuff that some moving companies wouldn't even bid my job and walked away from me - James' Movers moved and moved well. Very well. They are my go-to recommend for all of my friends now. Joe took care of everything and remembered all of my details. The guys didn't complain. It was HARD WORK. Very. The truck was loaded down - I have a LOT of heavy things  - old antiques and a large heavy stove. What can I say? I tell it like it is on my Angies List reviews. I do not exaggerate whether good or bad. These guys were GOOD and their price, for all the work they did, was VERY good. I would hire them again in a minute. 

Great to work with and moved everything within a short period of time.

The moving crew showed up for packing and moving around 8:30.  They said they would be there between 8:00 and 9:00, so the timing was good.  They were packing a bedroom set, four bookcases and a lot of garage equipment.  They worked very quickly and had the truck loaded within an hour and a half.  They did break one outdoor light when setting up their ramp, but those things happen and they said they'd replace it, so no big deal.  I'd say it took them maybe another hour and a half to unload the truck and put everything where it belonged.  The crew worked hard and was very entertaining, and that is a good combination to me.  I had called them in late November for an estimate and they told me $913.  Actual price was around $670.  I was pleasantly surprised.  I used them for a move 13 years ago and recommended them to a friend two years ago.  I would not hesitate to recommend them to my closest friends or family and I would definitely use them again.

They arrived early.  They worked so hard and super fast.  I was so extremely pleased and would recommend them HIGHLY.  I've already shared their contact information with one of my co-workers. Just really nice, pleasant and very professional.

It went really well. They arrived on time, they finished on time. They took down and set up my things. The owner himself came initially and gave us a quote and estimate, and it was spot on. They also set up furniture and gave me ideas on rearraging furniture. Overall, it was a good experience.

Everything went just as I expected because I have experienced first-hand how competent these movers are.  They put boxes in the rooms for which they were marked, they situated all furniture on the first and second floors and in the basement to make it easier for me to unpack all the boxes.  And, they were all very careful to protect my freshly-stained hardwood floors.

The movers arrived at 8:30 am. We did a walk through to tell them everything that was going to be moved. I was moving from a 3 generation large house to a smaller ranch and so, I wasn't taking all the furniture that the house had. Those guys were the absolute best! They were efficient, nice, and did a great job moving the stuff out. They then followed me to my new house and were efficient in unloading and putting everything where I wanted it to go. I had labeled all the boxes as to which room they would go into. I had this large glass piece that arrived perfect! I had to pay extra for that and there were no guarantee's but, it made it unscathed. All in all, it was a great move!

My mother's home was old, with very narrow stairs and hallways.  They did an awesome job moving the furniture out of her home and into mine.  They were very pleasant and professional.  I would recommend them to anyone.

It was great! The team of guys Joe sent was amazing. Very hard workers and extremely understanding in dealing with tight areas in a city home. They packed up our home in three hours! No items damaged and they were very caring in organizing our new home.

It went very well. This was my fourth move in the last 6 years (in philly and Pittsburg) and guys from James moving company was by far the best. Three guys who came were efficient and definitely knew what they were doing. They were pleasant to work with and they took care to cover any valuable surfaces like mosaic tiles. Would definitely consider them again in my next move.

The team sent 3 guys with an 18-wheeler.  It was bigger than needed, but they knew how to drive the thing!  The whole process from beginning to end took 3 hours total.  Excellent service, personable workers, would definitely use again!
