DO NOT USE IRON DOG PLUMBING!!! I tasked them with a simple toilet repair for which Iron Dog Plumbing charged me $621. Less than a month later, the toilet they repaired was leaking again. I also asked Iron Dog Plumbing to investigate a potential ceiling leak. They removed a few square feet of ceiling drywall, found no leak, and charged me another $621. I'm out nearly $1,300 for their shoddy work. Please do yourself a favor and avoid using them.

Arrived when they said, started a water line replacement...send me pictures of a discovered upon excavation sewer line requiring fixed as it failed. We never would have known about it without Iron Dog. They could have waited till be called them with that problem....they didnt. Water can flood your home, a gas leak can burn or kill. I dont want to hope I can trust who is working on these utilities, I want to know it. Hire Iron Dog Plumbing and you can know it too.

Jim was considerate of my need to have the rest of the house function and took care of it very professionally. He was friendly and easy to work with as far as questions I had for him. He answered everything fully and gave me options. His price was more than fair. And it all works now!

This company is off the charts excellent. Quick response time and solved all of the sewer line problems. I own a lot of rental property and it is difficult to find a plumber who is just outstanding.

We had sewage back up in the basement. We first called Roto Rooter thinking it was just a quick snake job. When it became apparent that Roto Rooter intended to fleece us, we fired them and hired Iron Dog. Jim’s guys quickly found the broken section of sewer, repaired the pipe and the concrete. They were prompt, professional, cleanly and kept open lines of communication. The cost was very, very fair. We’ve hired Iron Dog many times over the past 20 years, and we’ve never been disappointed. We will definitely hire Jim and his crew again...and again!

Jim Damratoski, owner of Iron Dog Plumbing, was referred to us by the realtor that sold us our house as a company that was responsive, did quality work and charged a reasonable rate. We found all these qualities to be true. Jim was very easy to work with and was respectful; just an overall good guy. He recommended replacing the broken gas line by "shooting the mole", a pneumatic driven bit that bores underground. Jim encountered a few challenges boring through the clay and shale from the curb up to the gas meter. But he's an accomplished mole shooter (it's as much art as mechanics) and in less than two days successfully linked us up to the main line. We were only without gas for a very short time. This was done with minimal disturbance to the yard. The two other quotes I received were 3x more expensive and would have involved trenching the yard. I'm so pleased with Jim's work, I plan to use him on other projects.

Brian Patak came to the house. Not only did he make a complete mess in my one bathroom changing a faucet, he attempted to change the bathtub fixtures that I bought. Unbeknownst to me, there was a leak and apparently the tile board behind was not stable enough to have the faucet changed out before fixing the other problem first. Brian never once communicated this to me. Since he had already fixed the overflow pipe, I may have been able to report this to my insurance company. However, Brian took out the original faucet and began to place the new faucet in. He then told me about the problem, charged me... and at that point my insurance was not willing to pay. I am now stuck paying for a complete redo of tile thanks to this man. If this was not enough. While this was going on, we had him work at a relatives house. At this point, we did not realize he was a crook. He began to a plumbing job, and left right in the middle. This resulted in a flood. A very very costly flood!! I tried to contact the owner of the company and his excuse was that "Brian no longer works for us!" That may be true, however, I hired his company who sent the so called plumber. They refused to help us. USE AT UR OWN RISK!!!!

Was great with providing advice in how best to do it, and although we didn't know there was extra work/cost to hire an electrician until the day of, everything else was perfect!

  1. I was satisfied because they showed up on time with 2 men, for a price of $85/hour plus the trip charge.  They needed additional parts to complete the toilet install -- because of sloppy (or at least "non-standard"...) work by previous plumber (Stahl roughed in a brand new bath on 3rd floor so all was new and should have been good to go, but wasn't for the toilet) and also because the new toilet came with a defective part -- but Iron Dog had all the tools and parts they needed with them in their truck so they were able to get the job done and I didn't have to pay for extra time while they drove and fetched parts.
  2. They were professional and they gave me some advice on another project I was stalled on due to some uncertainties (drainage outside).
  3. I was thrilled to have the first toilet in the house, which is gutted to the studs, and to have a working sink, for $279 which I felt was a reasonable price. I will call Iron Dog again!

They took care of everything...notifying gas companyand Verizon Fios (for location of their lines)   They also replanted the rose bush that had to be moved.  They were totally professional, friendly and did a great job.  We will have them back again when we put a gas line in to the kitchen.

I've used Iron Dog for quite a few years.  I've always been extremely satisfied with Jim's work.  He is very professional and he knows his work.  You know when you get a feel for someone who does a good job and takes pride in their work?  Well, Jim is one of these types, he takes pride in his work and his company.  I've come to rely on him for all of my plumbing needs.  In the past, I've had my sewer lines snaked, minor bathroom plumbing issues, and a hot water heater installed in 2005 which lasted for eight years.  My last issue, sometime in the summer of 2013, a hot water heater, he wasn't able to do the job personally so two of his employees performed the work.  I can't recall their names, but they were professional and they did the job to my satisfaction.  I trust Jim and I highly recommend Iron Dog Plumbing.

Very fast and professional service. Responded very quickly to a disaster and had the initial fixes done within 2 days. Booked them subsequently for other repairs, filter replacements, and appliance hook-ups. A great company. I recommend them HIGHLY!

My dad started to use Iron Dog about 10 years ago. He found him to be pleasant to deal with, friendly and reasonable. So when I needed a plumber to replace a broken water heater that was flooding my basement he was my first call. I'll try many fix-it projects myself but when I have no luck, like with the clogged drain, I call a professional. Iron Dog is one that I know I can trust. He comes out quickly, he may apply a quick, temporary fix but it gets you out of the emergency situation. He is quick to come out later that day or the next day and provide the proper, professional repair at a reasonable price.

Jim D. from Iron Dog Plumbing is amazing.  My main water line broke and I
was getting water in my basement.  He was there within a couple of
hours of my call.  He gave me the best price after 3 estimates and did
an amazing job - I couldn't even tell he was there...except my basement
floor was dry.
You can totally trust him, he's a really good guy.  I'm so thankful I found him!!!!  He wont disappoint, call him!

the grease trap suddenly sprang a leak - Jim sent one of his guys over to plug the leak and ordered the replacement grease trap.
second grease trap also had a problem - Jim called the suppliers and got a good price for the grease traps and replaced them on the promised date
Jim is VERY responsive and does a quality job at a reasonable price.
I have known Jim for almost ten years now and call him exclusively for my residential and commercial plumbing work

They were professional in their communication, prompt with service and they worked extra hard to find parts for our very old system.  Overall - a good experience.
