JUDITH G.
Sep 2011
The work was done in two stages. The first stage removed all plantings and replenished the soil. They also weeded and laid mulch.
This was done quickly, efficiently and with sensitivity for the area. Some of the plants were potted to re-use elsewhere in the garden. Those plants did quite well and were incorporated into the rear garden. I lost a few due to my own bad watering!
The seoond stage: They arrived early and planted the front. I was pleased that they consulted me on placement, and we relocated two of the items to the rear garden. The plant choices were wonderful. All the plants are unusual, interesting and were in excellent condition before they went into the ground. I was particularly happy with the health of their root systems. The japanese maple was a joy since it is an unusual specimen with beautiful striped bamboo-like bark.
They also planted a few other things in the back yard and we made plans to add a Japanese Umbrella Pine in the rear garden since I fell in love with the one they got for the front.
Mike Corle is very knowledgeable about plants and has excellent ideas for design and form. His crew is professional, and is also a delight to have around. They do a thorough clean-up and leave things looking much better than they found it!
