The team at Integrity Contracting was a joy to work with. They are honest, easy to interact with, and did everything in their power to fulfill our desired plans, while keeping to our budget. Even in the face of some serious hitches in our remodel (e.g. problems with stack pipes, termite damage, electrical issues), they never tried to exploit the situation to extract extra money from us, when other contractors might have. As time has passed since the job was completed, they have continued to be an outstanding company to work with. We chose this contractor based on our initial interactions with the company's owner, Maurice Trent. He was easygoing, and yet very frank about what was possible and impossible considering our budget. Both my wife and I had a great impression from the start. Maurice is also a pastor at a local church (that we are not members of). After working with them on this large job, we can attest that integrity is their number one priority. They performed a full remodel of a large house, which was a complex job, requiring the coordination of subcontracts for electrical and plumbing. Their work was of excellent quality: they helped us choose top notch components, such as flooring and granite countertops. They built new walls to form custom closets in our bedroom and laundry room, and both of these were very well done. They painted all surfaces, and we are very happy with the quality of the paint job they performed. Perhaps the two most labor-intensive parts of the job turned out to be our favorite rooms in the house: the kitchen and the master bathroom. They performed a full remodel of the kitchen, including granite countertops and new cabinetry, dishwasher, sink and disposal. During the kitchen remodel, they were quite accommodating of some last minute changes (e.g. placing the sink in a different location). This highlights their dedication to customer satisfaction. They transformed a third floor bathroom and small kitchen into a master bathroom that is absolutely stunning. This included installing a whirlpool bath, shower, twin sinks, and tiling the floor. Again, we are very happy with the quality of their workmanship. The 203K loan is an odd one, requiring copious amounts of paperwork, inspections, and numerous odd rules imposed by the bank providing the loan. The contractor handled all of these issues gracefully and without complaint. Having talked to other contractors that take these kinds of jobs, I feel very lucky to have found this company. Over the six month remodel, we lived in part of the house while the team worked on other parts. Over this time, we really got to know the crew, and they were all great to work with. Very kind, polite, respectful, and friendly. They became part of our family. With a job of this size, your contractor is someone you are going to repeatedly be following up with to work out kinks, or get information on how a job was done, what is behind a wall, etc. Whenever I have had to come back to the contractor for information they have been prompt and helpful in replying. Further, on multiple occasions, I have had to call them for help with adjusting something that they put in. For example, our washer on the second floor needed to be moved out for a repair, and the piping was disturbed. The team came out and fixed it for us and would not even take our money. It is rare to find a contractor who is that dedicated to upholding the integrity of their work. To me, this is the most important part of choosing a company for such a large job: the relationship you have after the work is done, because there will always be something that needs adjusting. Thus, I would highly recommend Integrity Contracting for your next remodel!
