HOBBS PAINTING

These guys are the real deal….traditional American values and work ethics. Chris and Keegan turned up each day, early in the morning, and put in an 8 or 9 hour shift. At the end of each day, they cleaned up (including vacuuming), packing up their equipment, putting it in their truck,. They never left a room unfinished, at the end of the day. Their work is impeccable and that is because they take such care to detail. You know they enjoy what they do and take pride in their work. My rooms look absolutely beautiful, which was a challenge as my walls are 90 years old. I am so so pleased with the results. A special challenge, for Chris, apart from removing a large mirror over the fireplace, was the living room ceiling, which had an awful texture to it. I requested to make it like the other ceilings…flat, no texture. Chris did such a fabulous job.. I am amazed at the results, as I had expected that you would still be able to see some bumps. It is perfectly flat! Chris also helped with an odd wooden fitting that was in one of the bedrooms and had been used as a built-in bookcase. He was able to remove it, which I couldn’t do, making that section of the wall available for paint. I love how that room looks without that built-in. I don’t want to forget Jake, who did my estimate, and scheduled my work. I was so impressed with him, from the in-person estimate, that I never bothered to get other quotes…sometimes your gut feeling kicks in….and it sure wasn’t wrong. Jake communicated appropriately throughout the process, and was just as professional as Chris and Keegan. Apart from all the work feedback, these guys are just genuinely really nice, professional guys. I will have them back in the slow winter months to stain all my woodwork. Look no further. What you need is Hobbs painting! (Ps. I NEVER write reviews…so this says a lot about Hobbs).

We couldn't be more pleased with the work! It definitely exceeded our expectation. The crew were professional and friendly. We needed to add on painting of the base boards in our entryway, living room and dining room; this was no problem and they completed the job quicker than expected.

Awesome! The guys did an awesome job, they were flexible and patient with my change in paint colors. Besides being great painters they are great guys. I would definitely recommend them. They did a lot of work in a short period of time and at a very reasonable price.

Jake and his crew were excellent. Jake was very responsive in providing the quote and setting up the job. The crew was punctual, professional and courteous. They completed all four rooms in less than 1 day, which we very much appreciated. I was extremely pleased with the results as well. I will definitely hire them again for future jobs.

The Hobbs team is wonderful. They are trustworthy, very clean, and maintain a great work ethic. This is a family owned business and the brothers and father were all alternated at the house to work with their crew. NO SUBS - which is awesome. I cannot say enough about Hobbs Painting. I have done 5 houses in 7 years and they will now be my official "go to painters". Be patient, they are busy, but I cannot say enough about the work they performed. We live in Ohio, but the townhouse is located in Pittsburgh, PA. The price was right so we decided to accept their bid for the job. They were also contracted by other unit owners to prepare and paint the exterior of all the units in our building. They initiallly told us the job would start in June. They then indicated the work was postponed due to the rain. We contacted Hobbs on an ongoing basis. They returned all of our calls in the beginning, but did not return our calls closer to the end of the job. After several postponements, we were told the job was completed in September, which was the Association's mandated deadline. During this process we were communicating with the owner of a neighboring unit. He agreed to check the progress of the work on our unit for us, since we live so far away. There were a few items which needed to be addressed after the work was completed, but all items were eventally taken care of to everyone's satisfaction.

Hobbs was exceptional from start to finish. By far the best contractor I've ever hired. Jake was prompt in returning my initial call, coming to my home, and providing a quote. He worked with us on a convenient start work date, which began about a few weeks after accepting the quote. Jake and his team showed up early and on time for the first day of work so I could provide access to the home and get to work on time. The work itself took nearly two weeks to finish, which was a bit longer than expected. However, this was partly due to the challenging patch work inside the home and partly due to Hobb's flexibility to work with us on getting the right stain treatment for the front door, which was so important to us. The extra time was not inconvenient for us as they worked diligently and professionally. Frankly, I was worried the extra time would greatly impact the initial quote. Not at all. The final price was dead on the initial quote. Most importantly, we love the work. The interior patch work looked great and the paint job was perfect. Best of all, our front door looks amazing. For an old door on a home that's over 100 years old, the finished product is exceptional. We would absolutely use Hobbs painting again.

Painters were very prompt. I feel based on the scope of the job being done, price was fair. They had to do more work than originally expected.

They were on time, did a clean job and seemed conscientous. They were dependable. I would hire them again.
