John and his partner Joe were fantastic from start to finish. Professional and considerate when providing the quote, diligent and communicative throughout the project, and the finished product was perfect. John even identified some needed carpentry repair work and seamlessly arranged to have it completed for us. We're already planning to hire Hilson Painting again for some interior work this winter.

Job well done. John was easy to work with. No fast talk about this-n-that. He listened to what we wanted - and offered ideas & suggestions. He gave us written quotes - unlike most other painters - and explained his policy for doing work. Work was efficient, cleaned up nicely and non intrusive ! Only thing was - The start date was delayed BUT understood due to COVID -19. Would definitely use him again!

Nice quality work. Had to specifically get him to clean wood of superficial mildew before painting, which he was not planning to do. That surprised us a little but we got the cleaner and he did clean it. They did a nice job, were efficient and timely. We would hire him again.

He prices work very reasonably and is definitely a skilled painter with a lot of experience. He painted ceilings and walls for us, along with custom staining doors.
