Hander has been just fantastic! He does a very thorough job and our condo is spotless when he finishes. He even has rearranged a few things in the house that has made for a more efficient use of space. When hiring someone to clean your home, you always must remember you get what you pay for. Hander is worth every penny. We are very happy with his work and would highly recommend him.

My mother-in-law had been living with us for the past 6 months and she believes in "do it yourself", so to respect her philosophy we didn't have anyone clean our house since the beginning of the year. But working 80h/week (fellowship training) and having a 9-month old baby made it really impossible to keep it up, one can only imagine how bad our house was. So we found this deal at Angie's list and we scheduled the cleaning with Hander. He did an absolutely fantastic job!!! His work was obviously worth much more than the 200.00 we paid through Angie's list (our house is BIG), but he honored the agreement without even showing any discontent when he saw how big and dirty our house was :) Our house has never been so clean!!!! I just wish I had found find 2 years ago when I first moved to Pittsburgh... I highly recommend his services, you won't regret!!!

My house has never looked this good!! Having a dog with tons of undercoat and 2 sons in their 20's who move in and out, one living with me now, the house resembled a fraternity of the worst kind. With my work schedule, I could never get the whole house clean where I could actually sit back and be happy and relaxed in my haven. Hander changed all of that for me!
I arranged through Steve, his translator, for Hander to come the following Monday, Memorial Day! I was thrilled to not have to miss a work day so it was perfect that he was free and willing to work on what is a Holiday for Americans but not for him. (Hander is from Brazil). He arrived with Steve promptly at 9:00 am, we went through the house and discussed what was to be done, Steve left, and Hander proceeded to work on my house from top to bottom and in every nook and cranny. He never let up on his energy level and never even took a break! I encouraged him to stop to maybe eat something or sit down for a cold drink, but he refused! He literally worked straight through till around 6:45 pm. I have wood floors throughout and wood built-in cabinets, plus picture rails which get filled with dust- He used Murphy Oil soap on all of the wood- with excellent results. He cleaned,dusted and wiped down everything in my house! Baseboards, windows, 3 bedrooms, bathroom with tons of hard to clean small tile, living room, dining room, kitchen...the refrigerator is like brand new and he cleaned the oven...I am very happy! And he cleaned all of my knick knacks in the house and placed them more artistically than I had originally placed them. I feel so fortunate to have my house a home again- and one that belongs in a magazine...seriously. Hander was excellent!!!! He is a true gentleman with very high work standards and ethics. He is a perfectionist, and truly aims to please the customer- he would ask me to look at each room when he was finished to see if there was anything else I wanted done- and if I was pleased. I had no problem whatsoever communicating with him- we managed just fine without Steve! I highly recommend HG for your cleaning needs! You will not get a better experience - I can promise you that.

This is an individually-owned small business and the proprietor arrived promptly at 9 am and turned my house into a showcase by 7 pm that night. He was wonderful and I truly have never seen such a thorough and comprehensive cleaning in all my years of working with other services or individuals. I would HIGHLY recommend HG for any complete house cleaning OR any specialty job. I found the work to be exceptional and well worth the price. I will definitely have him back for special occasions and/or other parts of my home and properties (loft over my garage will be next). I could not be happier with HG's work ... and he was delightfully courteous and hard working, too!

Hander was amazing! We've lived in our house for a year and it was in need of a deep clean, but I wasn't going to get to it before a string of guests descended upon us. Upon booking the deal Hander immediately got in touch and was able to accommodate the first of my suggested dates. He made sure to ask the questions he needed to before arriving. I was not at home when he arrived, but my boyfriend was, and Hander made sure that our priorities were still the same as when we spoke before (he arrived with a translator, as he does not speak much English). He did an incredibly thorough job on our house. When he says that he will stay until he is done, he is not kidding! He was still there when I arrived home from work, and I exclaimed "Whose house is this? Is this MY house?" In regards to the negative review posted earlier, no he doesn't speak a lot of English, but between his limited knowledge and my terrible Spanish, we muddled along just fine, and he was very kind. It wasn't a problem at all, and considering his obvious work ethic and understanding of his trade I can't see why it would be. He even organized things on shelves in a much more intelligent way than I would have! I woke up this morning joyful for how clean and tidy our house was. I highly recommend booking Hander to clean your house!

Hander did an excellent job cleaning my house! I own a historic property with extensive woodwork. Hander used Murphy soap to wipe all baseboards, door casings, window trim, handrails, and wood trim. He cleaned ceiling fans and light fixtures. He mopped all hardwood & tile floors and vacuumed rugs and furniture. I have 2 dogs and was pleasantly surprised that he removed the dog hair throughout my home. The bathrooms were sparkling. The kitchen appliances were very clean.
Hander arrived on time and used the cleaning products I requested. He asked me several times to check his work to be sure it met my satisfaction. My house has never been this clean. I highly recommend this company and I plan to hire Hander again.

We were relocating and needed to have the house cleaned and ready for home buyer. He came first to see what needed to be done and then gave us an estimate. Since he speaks limited English, he had an associate Steve who came with him and translated. It was determined that the cleaning would require two days. Hander committed to do the cleaning on the days when we needed him. He and Steve both came to the house both days. Steve gave us his cell phone number in case of any concerns or difficulty with communication. We did not have any. The house looked fabulous when Hander was done.

Gander scrubbed & wiped down the kitchen, ceiling, & cabinets & doors. He cleaned the laundry room, man cave & utility room cobwebs. Every window & sill sparkles. Every surface, knickknack, picture frame & paddle fan glistens. The sweet smell of a clean house greeted me in the hallway as I made my way to brew the morning coffee. Hander and Steve were great. Scheduling was smooth, and all communication via message, phone, and text was prompt and responsive. The work itself was truly impressive and executed with a thoroughness that included tasks we didn't even think of but noticed post-clean. Hander is friendly and has a great eye for design--his attention to detail extended into everything, from the placement of soap, to the presentation of knick-knacks and pillows. Everything was well-cleaned and returned to its place with an artist's touch.

After purchasing the deal, the provider called and was very pushy to set a date. I needed to check my work schedule and we told him that. The deal was valid until April 2015 but he said he wanted to do it in the next 2 weeks. We set a date.
From the reviews it appeared that the owner Hander would be the person doing the cleaning. On the day however he arrived with another person who did not speak any English. He showed him around and my husband was very explicit about the things we wanted (and didn't want) done. For example, we had just changed the bed linen and vacuumed, and didn't want much touched in our bedroom except the dusting, baseboards, ceiling fan. The one guy then left.
The cleaner was here for 7 hours until my husband finally had to ask him to go as he had things to do. It was greatly frustrating for him because he was unable to communicate with the man. They asked us for a broom and a ladder - I would have thought if you didn't provide supplies that you would tell the owner before you arrived. Hubby asked if they needed cleaning supplies and was told "no" initially.
It became clear that things would not be done to expectations when the man just used windex to clean everything, including our hardwood floors. He did not clean the kitchen appliances or wipe the cabinets. The bottom of the fridge was the one thing my husband asked to please get done if nothing else did; wasn't done. The powder room was not touched. The downstairs was basically not touched except the kitchen floor was mopped and the counters wiped. The worst thing - he didn't even bring a bucket, and then not only didn't ask for one (we do have one he could have used) - he emptied our bathroom trash can and used that as a bucket. I'm sorry, washing my floors out of the bathroom trash can is not acceptable "cleaning".
Overall - the experience was stressful for my husband, we didn't really get most things we wanted done, and it was a complete waste of money and basically a whole day. If you speak the cleaner's language, it would perhaps be less annoying as you could at least explain what was happening on the day. I understand we ran out of time, but in that time all that was accomplished was cleaning one master bathroom and 2 BR. We had to move the bed later as he unplugged our lamps, and there were piles of dust back there that weren't even cleaned. I could easily have done this quality of work for myself for free, pregnant or not.
UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO REVIEW: We did not discuss with the company when they called afterwards, as they were unable to speak English when here, and we did not want to arrange for further cleaning as we were not happy with the quality of the work. I did not need to be there, because my husband was. The fact remains that no supplies were brought to do the job, our trash can was used as a bucket to mop the floor with (yuk), and the job was not completed to a good quality in my opinion. I do not want a refund as the guy did work for several hours and should be paid. I just wouldn't use them again.

Your coupon was purchased approximately 1 month ago on Oct 16 and is the policy of Angie's List an attempt is made to schedule within 2 days of the request, Generally, when a person is in need of a cleaning service it is not for months in the future, however the date was selected at your preference. As indicated in earlier messages, this is a personal cleaning service and the number of hours spent to complete each house varies and depends on the size of the house, the condition of the house, and services needed, including deep cleaning of oven, microwave, etc. I did not complete the job because your husband did not want me to, however I was prepared to stay as long as necessary to complete the job and as promised leave your house sparkling clean. I am sorry that I have never had the opportunity to meet you and or speak with you directly, but in all of phone communication with your husband by my friend and translator and again when I arrived at your house, it was disclosed that my English is limited but that has never affected the quality of my work or limited my customer satisfaction. If you wish, I will make arrangements to have your money refunded, even though I worked at your house for 7 hours. If you wish to discuss further, please call me 412 452 6406"

I bought a Angies List deal and contacted them right away. They had an opening the very next day. They arrived on time and were very professional. The house looks great and smells good. I can tell they were very thorough. I'm very pleased and would recommend them. They probably spent 6 hours to finish the job.

Our place has NEVER been this clean. Hander worked for 9 straight hours and there is not a speck of dust or dirt anywhere that I can see. I felt compelled to pay him more than he had quoted and I probably should have given him even more than that. He brought all his own supplies, including what appeared to be a semiprofessional carpet scrubber, where I had only been expecting a regular vacuum. He was so hardworking and polite and very thoughtful as he moved things and tidied up. He even washed the walls per my request and cleaned off the front porch. We will absolutely be using him on a regular basis and on our other properties. He was completely trustworthy. I have hired and fired 4 other cleaning services in the past year before finding Hander and I am so relieved that I will never have to look further! I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone for any type of cleaning job.

In the 28 years, that I've lived in the house, the is the best cleaning service that I ever had. The house is absolutely spotless. Hander was on time and worked consistently the entire time he was on the job. Nothing was overlooked. Floors are beautiful. Everything was dusted. The kitchen and bathrooms sparkle. Nothing was misplaced or broken. My husband and I were very happy with the job and plan on using HG on a regular basis.

The job was excellent and upon completion the house was beautifully cleaned.
All carpeted floors were vacuumed; the tiled surfaces were swept clean and washed; mirrors and glass surfaces cleaned; all areas meticulously dusted; the bathrooms thoroughy cleaned and sparkled upon completion. All trash bagged and removed. He offered to change all bed lines. He is conscientious, personable, and aims to please. He completed all tasks that were asked. He is punctual, reliable and trustworthy.
I highly recommend him!
