calls. Even though I live in the Pittsburgh area on the paperwork I have been given by them, they gave me a Maryland phone # to call for service. When I call that # they give me another number, then another number and so forth. I have made 10 phone calls and still have not been able to talk to anyone in my area about the issue.

"Dear Valued Customer. Thank you for your email and recontacting us after almost 5 years since our last communication. As discussed back in 2010 acts of nature or god like falling ice or tree branches is not covered under our mfr. lifetime performance warranty. Our system along with our heavy gauge support brackets every 5 ft. are designed to withstand a snow load up to 80lbs but the system can not withstand a heavy or violent blow from above without possibly sustaining damage or misalignment. The winter of 2010 was one of the worst on record and insurance claims were at an all time high in terms of winter damage to Pittsburgh area homes. We are sorry you made the decision to remove the system as we would have worked with you and your insurance provider in terms of replacement. We strive to provide the highest quality service to our customers and we would enjoy the opportunity to serve you again if so choose. Around 5 or 6 PM a few days later, the installation team finally showed up. They blasted loud music while rushing through the job. While doing yard work a few days later, I noticed that the installers had left behind several sharp metal trimmings scattered around the perimeter of my house, which easily could have hurt someone had I not noticed them and carefully removed all of the trimmings I could find.
Moreover, the gutter helmet is designed in such a way that in order to work properly, the lip of the gutter helmet must extend beyond the lip of the gutters. The gutter helmets aren't even close to extending far enough out. Luckily, there's a lifetime guarantee, so when the gutters inevitably clog up because the gutter helmet wasn't properly installed, the company will have to come out and repair them.
