GERY HEATING & COOLING

Air conditioning fan stopped working on a Friday, neighbor recommended them over the weekend, called Monday morning. They were able to schedule us in that day, technician arrived on time. He was professional, polite and had my very old 20+ year air conditioner fixed in 20 minutes. Said that the unit was old and would need replaced sooner rather than later but he cleaned it out and fixed the current issue (wiring). House is nice and cool again. Will use again when the air conditioner eventually gives out.

I have use Gery Heating once or twice a year for Maintenance for about 20 years. I bought a new furnace and AC and Air cleaner in 2005. Just had to replace the AC today (2020). Clinton showed up on time and on a hot humid day did not stop until he finished. As always whether it is Christina, Bill , Dave, or Clinton the service fast, friendly, and professional.

They're like 10 minutes away from my house. They do charge me but like if I've had anything extra I can make payments.

I left a VM about the 700. I also spoke to Christine about the April Aire 700. They ordered a 700M April Aire and installed it. I was sick at the time and my friend was with them as I couldn't come down the stairs to see what was going on. I came down two days later and was very upset. Never dreamed I would have to "babysit" workers as I had used this company for almost 15 years. They left screws on the floor. The did not change out the plastic hose that comes out of the humidifier unit for drainage. There is so much scaling and deposits that you can't tell if water is coming out. Apparently the workers couldn't tell either because I had to turn on the valve to the unit (the one from the hot water heater) to have the humidifier work!!!! The transformer about 2 inches square unit was never changed out. It came with the 700M because my friend saw it on the floor. So they used the old hose and transformer. Now I wonder what else they didn't do. All this for $680. I called Gery and all you get these days are VM. So I left one about the situation. It's been a week. No phone call back. Got the bill though!!! I WILL NOT use them again. BTW, you can purchase the 700 on Amazon for less than $300. Something happen where they have gone down hill big time. Buyer beware!!! I'm also thinking of calling legal and other resources to see what can be done about this I don't mind paying a fair price, but I want what I ordered and then put in correctly.

Excellent. They came out on a Friday before the New Years holiday and did a full boiler replacement when ours went out. The guys stayed until 11pm to finish. I cannot say enough how grateful we were and what a beautiful job they did!

The two gentlemen that installed the furnace came at 8:30 am, the agreed upon time.  At about 11:30 they said they had to go for parts.  I didn't  know at the time that it was because the furnace could not be mounted on the wall (a false wall) and a brace had to be built for hanging the furnace (my old furnace was a stand-up).  There was also a problem with my sewer not draining well enough to drain all of the radiators so they had to use a pump to drain into the laundry tub. They told me they would not leave until the work was completed and I had heat.  They left about 9:30 that night.  They came back a second day to do cleanup and make sure everything was working well.  They were very hardworking and worked around all of the problems of an old house.  They even diverted the draining hose through the ceiling and down through the laundry tub to avoid using the sewer.

I highly recommend them. They are very good. They were recommended by a friend and I was very pleased with them.

They were prompt, sympathetic to my fears when I smelled gas, responsive, fast and excellent.  Only good things to say, for both the tech and Christine in the office. Recommend them highly.

They came out today to do the annual check up on my system. They put in a new april air humidifier filter.

Their prices are comparable or better than most. They came back and called us right away. They were here first thing in the morning. Their professionalism is very good. They went step by step. They didn't hesitate. They adapted with whatever was there. They knew what they were doing. I would use them in the future. We're going to use them for everything.

We were very impressed that they were able to come out the same day we called, both in January and December, even though we were not regular customers and both times were during 14 degree periods when everyone was calling with broken furnaces. The only glitch related to communication. For the second repair, the repairman who was supposed to come out didn't get the message but the company called early the next morning and apologized profusely. We really appreciated that. Many companies do not admit if someone had made an error and many will not apologize for it. There was another problem with communication between the office and the repairman when it was time to schedule the installation of the circuit board but this time it was the repairman who was waiting. My husband was being released from the hospital and so the repairman was supposed to call before coming to verify we had made it home, AND I was going to call the company when we left the hospital. I called at 2:15 to say we were on our way... on a 30 minute drive. It turned out the repairman arrived at our house at 2:00. The office told him he had to wait, however, and I think it was at least in part because it was still painfully cold outside and they knew the situation and were concerned about my husband trying to recuperate in a house with no heat. I think the confusion was because they were so busy because of the cold weather and because they had a new receptionist who was just learning the system. Regardless, we think they handled the situation extremely well and obviously put the customer first. We will definitely use Gery Heating again if we have any more furnace or cooling problems.

Bill, the owner, came to my house to determine what size heating & cooling system I would need and to answer all my questions. He left manufacturer's pamphlets for me to read over. After deciding to go with Gery it didn't take long to get a date set up for the installation...a few weeks, I think. They were able to take out the old furnace and install the new one (plus the air cleaner and humidifier) in the same day. The air conditioner has not yet been installed. Could happen soon. It depends on the weather and customer priority calls. Can't use it until next summer anyway. They remove and haul away all the old stuff and they clean up. I am very satisfied with my new heating system and the job they did.

The office and field staff at Gery are always friendly and ready to answer questions you may have about the work, either before or after the service performed. They did a great job with the installation: The furnace is still running great (they perform the annual service as well), they walked me through using the new system on the day of installation, and they were very clean and efficient in their work. I highly recommend Gery to anyone considering HVAC work in Pittsburgh. We will certainly continue using them for future work in our house.

I called because I had an issue with another heating company that replaced a coil. After the tech left the unit didn't work at all. I was told that there was nothing wrong with my unit. I left that company and went with Gery. The Gery tech spent about an hour and a half troubleshooting. He found sauder in the tubes from the previous tech. Ever since they fixed the unit everything has been going really well.

He was prompt on answering all of the questions that I asked. The technician that did the work was very neat and was very concerned about his work. He tries to do the job on the first visit, so we don t have to call back. I trust his work. He was highly efficient and the pricing was reasonable.

We purchased the furnace from them and they installed it. They have exceptional service and are very personable. When they came to inspect the furnace, they gave us a new filter for the humidifier that is attached to the furnace at no charge. I will not call any one but Gery for our heating and cooling needs.

He did the work for me at home and in my condo and I felt he did a good job. He was on time and was polite and easy to deal with. He kept my needs in consideration when replacing the central air unit in my condo and didn't try to put in more than I needed. The price for the services reflects both the job at my home and at my condo. I was pleased with him and the quality of work that he performed. The utility rates have risen in my area but my costs have not increased so I do think that due to the new systems I am saving money on my utility bill.

They did a super job, the thing that had been in here was archaic and they replaced it with a new and more efficient system. It was a very dirty job and they were excellent about keeping everything clean.

They've been servicing our heating and cooling needs for more than 25 years.

THEY CAME OUT RIGHT AWAY AND WE WERE PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK. THEY SHOWED US THE PART THAT WASN'T WORKING. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.
