The sealant did not work so he did come back to arrange to remove a deck that was built over the flat roof. He removed some of the screws but left with a promise to send me a proposal for work within a week. I never heard from him again and the deck boards where he removed the screws warped and raised up about 3 inches causing a trip hazard.

After only 3 years, the roof Kevin Alfaro installed is already leaking in two points. We called several times over the past two weeks. He refuses to repair it, claiming we did not pay for one of the jobs they did for us. We asked for the invoice of this unpaid job, or at least a written description of such job, but they never produced it. A clever way to waive their responsibility.

John at Five Star was very responsive from the start! Went to house to inspect and provided a competitive quote. They had to remove shingles, Some small repair and gutter work. Completed majority of work in 2 days. Had to wait for supplier for some small items but let me know. Sent pictures of work as they were doing because it is a rental property of mine. Went to see after and it looks terrific! They even fixed some things that came up and didn’t change the initial quote. That is unheard of now a days!!! Would definitely recommend.

My old roofer was unable to do the job, so I found Five Star through Angies list. . We have been having "tinner's red" applied every few years, Since the lead has been removed from the paint, it doesn't last very long. We contacted John Paulina & he came down to give us an estimate, & suggested a new silicon coating, fairly new, & guaranteed for 50 years..It's called GACOFLEX . It cost a little more, but we won't have to have this work done ever again. I recommend John, & the Silicon treatment 1000%. You'll be glad that you did it. It looks beautiful. & they can do it in colors; when it was first out, it was gray, or black. The red is very close in color to the tinner's red that we used to use.

It went fantastic. In the busy season of roofing, we called with an urgent request. We had a quote two days later and a new roof within a week. They even removed an old chimney that was disused and was only functioning as a big leaky spider condominium.
