A/C unit is not part of the heating system. The air handler is in the attic, which is not easy to access, as the house is split level. The old air handler was quite large, but amazingly (to me), they removed it without any damage to the inside of the house, and replaced it with another large unit. I was impressed. The air handler was the tough part of the job; the outside and inside work proceeded at the same time, such that everything was done within a few days, with no disruption to the family.I was very pleased with the work. The guys were great.
