About us
We are a family company, 3 employees. We are 3rd generation plumbers. We do 'service' type work, not 'new' work, ie we tend to overbuild a system so that it can be properly serviced without major disassembly. We stock approx 5,000$ in parts at any given time for all major water heater brands, tank and tankless. We provide a warranty with every job we do. We normally travel within a 75mi radius of our office, but can accommodate any request. We specialize in solving problems.

Extremely knowledgeable service man. He quickly disassembled the heating unit and cleaned out the debris. He gave me hints on how to improve the service of the unit and piping delivery of hot water throughout the house. The plumber who installed the unit was not able to fix the problem when he came to service it. I highly recommend Bibey when buying or obtaining service on hot water heaters.

Very prompt in returning our call and arrived at our door the same day. He was very efficient and more importantly, honest....he could have easily told us the water heater was beyond repair, but he didn't. Instead, he came in welded the break and had the water heater up and running in less than an hour. His price was exactly as quoted...no surprises there either. All in all he was a real life saver...with 2 babies in the house we couldn't go long without hot water!

Excellent.
Rheem Pronto tankless water heater would heat for a minute and then turn off. Called Gillece about three weeks back. Tech came, reviewed the error code sheet that I printed up, tried for a bit and left when he couldn't determine the cause. Water heater worked on and off and finally gave up this week.
Called Bibey sometime early Tuesday afternoon and left message. Received a call back immediately. Temperature was below zero all day and they were booked solid. Received a call around 6 PM stating that they could send a guy over shortly. Jerry arrived around 7 30, reviewed and repaired the tank, and by 8 30 PM, we had hot water.
All good.

It went well. Aside from the fee that it seems every plumber charges for the visit/estimate, there wasn't a thing to complain about. It helps, of course, that they know the tankless heaters forward and back and, as the other reviewer wrote, are authorized to do the fixes by Bosch. But still, the pro who came out immediately knew what was going on, made the necessary tweaks to the heater, fixed the actual problem, and showed us how to deal with it on our own. The bill was entirely fair, covering the visit and time put in, and their man was friendly and professional. Will definitely call them back in the future for our plumbing needs, whether related to the tankless heater or anything else.

Following a very bad storm, my 5 year old Bosch tankless water heater failed to start. It was displaying an error code I had not seen prior, and was making a soft bubbling sound when it and quot;errored outand quot;.
I searched www.boschhotwater.com and found only one and quot;authorized factory serviceand quot; listing for the entire Pittsburgh, PA region. This was E.A.Bibey Co.
I searched Angie's List: No Results for this company.
I made the call.... arrgh an answering machine! I recorded my information.
I must emphatically comment here that this was the end of my worries!
I called again a few minutes after their stated business hours ended, and spoke to a real nice lady who assured me that I had been scheduled for the first thing next day, and because of my time limitations, the technician would come early! Awesome!
Jerry arrived earlier than anticipated the next day and set right to work.
He immediately found that the heater had and quot;inhaledand quot; rainwater from the exceedingly bad storm, and had filled the gas valve with water.
He told me right away that this frequently ruins the unreplaceable diaphragm within and that the valve part alone was nearly $500.
He did try to dry the existing valve to see if it would work... it did not.
This is where he began to apologize for the way the repair bill was escalating so quickly. Jerry did then offer to try installing a used valve he had on his truck. The used valve worked! He charged me half price for the used valve. Once working, he then told me he would spend a bit of extra time to recalibrate the heater. He spent about a half hour adjusting and readjusting.
All said, my Bosch tankless water heater now works better than it ever did from day one: It comes on quicker, it drops out much less.
I am extremely pleased with the E.A.Bibey Co and technician Jerry.
