Upholstering
Leigh Carrington of Dream City Upholstering surpassed my expectations. The work he and his wife Angie did is beautiful.
I needed a small love seat .. not an overstuffed two seater, but rather an old-fashioned really small seat for two. Leigh found such a piece in his storage. It looked awful. But he had confidence he could restore it. Then came the task of picking the right fabric from the wall of fabric-sample books. I wanted it to go with an oriental style rug, but I have no artistic sense for just what would look good. I took 10 or so books home, but wasn't sure which one to pick. I brought a picture of the rug where the colors matched the real rug. Leigh made a suggestion and we went with it. A couple of weeks later, he delivered the beautiful piece in time for a family gathering. It was better than anything I could have imagined. My husband says it's perfect for that spot and useful to have the extra seating. As an antique refurbished in a historically accurate way, it will hold it's value where most furniture would be worth less the day it passed into my house and more so as it went further out of style.
We couldn't be happier. Can't wait to use their services again.
