D&G Chimney Sweeps were fantastic! I recently had a new hot water heater installed by Mr Water Heater. I was told there was a slight backdraft and to have my chimney cleaned. I called D & G Chimney Sweeps and left a message. I received a call back within the hour. Mr. Matthews explained everything to me and answered all my questions over the phone. He offered to come out that same day, but I wasn’t able to accommodate. He and his employee came out the next day, right on time, and resolved the issue, and cleaned up, within 1.5 hours. He removed the blockage and all the debris from my chimney. He replaced the vent and reconnected it back into my chimney. All were nice and respectful. When he was done, he explained everything they did. I was happy to learn he also does electrical work. I will certainly use those services from him when needed. Highly recommend!

Don and his team were great. On time, got the job done for the price quotes, and were very neat. They examined the fireplace and made a small repair for an affordable price. I would hire them again.

Don was very helpful - we need to get a gas fireplace that wasn't working for several years to be functional again. Not only did he come out on the weekend, he also spent the time to educate me about the fireplace, lighting it, and necessary maintenance over time. Would hire again and recommend to others.

The work done was great. But, the price was way too high. The contractor was nice enough to offer a $50-off coupon, but even after this the price seemed to be around 50% higher than what others were charging.

Work was adequate

Very responsive. We called on Sunday and they were able to come out on Tuesday to sweep chimney and evaluate a water leak in our chimney. Performed the cleaning and were able to determine the cause of the leak. We will likely use them to perform the leak repair work.

Excellent work. Incredible amount of junk removed. I really liked that he checked the chimney stacks, for pointing etc. Best of all he took photos of the our 3 of 6 chimney stacks on the roof and sent them to us. Now we understand this one shared chimney with 6 stacks in it, 3 for us and 3 for our row house neighbors. Definitely would hire again and recommend. I could not find cost of cleaning, but was reasonable.

no service done price to high

I didn't hire them, they wanted way too much money. They wanted to charge me 400 and something dollars when it should only be $200. It took them 2 days to call, and the price was double what everyone else was charging. The interactions with them was just a telephone call. The estimate that I received was not very detailed at all.

Came out February 16 as scheduled with 3 other men. Took apart my gas fireplace leaned and did chimney. Don said he needed to replace a part of the pipe that goes into chimney. We decided on a day the following Friday at 2pm. I had to take that day off from work to be there. Don called at 2:15 and said he couldn't make it.So I gave him another time on Saturday at 2pm which he agreed upon. Well needless to say Saturday came and went no Don and no call. I tried to call him several time but said mail box was full no more messages. The following week I get a note in the mail that he wasn't going to repair it. So now I have a gas fireplace that I can't use and is sitting in pieces. Thanks for nothing Don.

Excellent. Professional, On time. Thorough cleaning and explanation of work as it was perormed. Made recommendations for repairs that can wait till after the season. Cleaned up thoroughly after their work was completed.

D&G came same day and cleared out the blockage!

The promptness and quality of work was excellent. However the price was very unfair. The chimney cap he sold me retails for less than $100. Also, what contractor does the work before providing a quote, especially when you ask them for just a quote?

Excellent work, very neat and professional for a very sooty job. #1 on my list.

We had recently moved into our house and the gas fireplace was filthy. They clean the exhaust disassembled all the components cleaned everything and put it back in place. It was looking and smelling like new when they were done.
