CUSTOM PATIO ROOMS

I began contacting them in August 2012... I have 28 telephone calls to get them to address the fact the patio room has settled since being built in April 2007... Someone came out in Sept 2012 and fixed the door but not the windows... Another gentleman came out in January 2013 and said the deck need to be raised and he would come back in the spring...Never came back after numerous voice mails... Rick Edwards no longer returns voice mails... Stay away from this company.....

We came into contact with this company at the Pittsburgh Home and Garden Show (2012). We were attracted by a display showing a particular window type they offered (a garden window). We gave them our information and asked them to call us after the show to discuss possibly replacing one of our windows with the garden window. We received a call about a week later, and set up an appointment for someone to come out to look at our window. Rick, the owner, was punctual and friendly/professional during the appointment. He took measurements, and we discussed when he or someone else might be able to call us back to give us an estimate. We waited for several weeks, but never received a call back. Perhaps they felt the job was too small? Or maybe he lost our information. Either way, it's hard to hire a company if they never call you back. :-(

.He was excellent. He answered any questions that I asked. He was always on time. He is a wonderful person. They did an excellent job.

We signed our contract with Rick, the owner, the beginning of March, with the (contractual) finish date at the end of April. We were told the work would take 1 - 2 weeks. I won't go into the details of the many, many times we had to contact the company because we were constantly put off with promises that work would start within a week. It was a nightmare. Work finally began mid-June, only after I threatened to contact the State Attorney General's office. The work took 4 weeks instead of 2, but we couldn't complain because the crew, Howard, Bill and Tim, did excellent work. The materials were good quality as well. However, I can't recommend this company because we couldn't believe anything the owner told us. This experience exemplifies the horror stories you hear about irresponsible contractors.

THE WORK THEY DID WAS DONE WELL, BUT THEY LEFT THE PROJECT UNDONE FOR SIX WORKING DAYS, DIDN'T RETURN CALLS, AND MADE ME VERY FRUSTRATED DURING THE PROCESS.
