Collins Paving did a new asphalt driveway June 2022 for $15,000. The install it was a major headache. Jerry complained entire time- about me, my driveway, the job, even his crew's work ethic. That fall of 2022 the driveway developed ponding in three large areas. I left emails, phone messages and never got a response. On May 5, 2023, I contacted them to seal the driveway (per their instructions at install). They responded right away. When they came out to seal, July 16, 2023, I explained the problem and was told to 'call the office'. I called weekly for 2 months. Finally, on September 9 Jerry and Steve came over and were quite confrontational with me. It was very uncomfortable, but I bit my tongue because I wanted it addressed. In the end, they both acknowledged the issues and recommended I have them address it in the spring and give 'one more winter'. I started calling & emailing in late March 2024. I finally got an appt in August. I waited all day until 4pm, made several calls the 'office' (no one answered). When I called the following week to inquire about my appt., Shauna said that Jerry and Steve came over and no one was home. Not true. Since then, I've called again and again and it's the same response from Shauna. "I'll let them know'. When i ask when I can expect a follow up, I'm told, 'I'm not sure, they are on other jobs'. I've kept track of how many times I've called and its over 30 times. They have no interest in talking to me. Shauna answers the phone and takes another message. At this point, less that 3 years after install, my driveway is sinking, cracks are forming, and I am forced to get resolution through 3rd parties. All I wanted was help figuring this out and I was hoping we could work this out together but I’m being ignored. I would avoid Collins Paving. There is so much more I could share.

From contact, bid, scheduling, work, short time and professional service, to finishing the blending with the road, all was excellent. Collins is first class all of the way.

They arrived earlier than scheduled, which enabled them to get more done than anticipated the first day, arrived the second day and finished the base and laid the asphalt. The entire crew was friendly and personable, they took great pride in the job they were doing.

It all went fine. They have a hardworking crew of 8 men and got the job done in one day. Be advised when they say they will be here at 8 am, they really mean 7am. It wa s all good, they work well together and take pride I. Their work.

Absolutely satisfied with the entire process. This is truly a great company- from beginning to end, they were very responsive, punctual and professional. We had an old long gravel/grass driveway that they graded and paved. They also listened to concerns we had with water historically flowing and pooling where the road met our drive. They put great thought and time into working to configure the new drive in a manner that would allow the water to bi-pass. I was extremely satisfied with the price for the precision of work performed and would highly recommend.

Did an excellent job at a great price. They went the extra mile to complete the driveway exactly how we wanted it done. Very satisfied with the results.

We signed the contract proposal in April. The job was completed June 10. Collins Paving came 7:30 AM and completed the job by 5:30 PM. Jerry and his crew worked continuously the entire time. They were very professional and respectful of our property. We are extremely satisfied with the result.

Excellent Job it was a pleasure doing business with the crew.  The work was completed perfect from start to finish. They were very careful to work around the existing structure !!  

They arrived around 10:00am and finished around 4:00pm.  The entire job was done in one day.  My property is a tight squeeze and situated on a busy road.  They controlled the traffic while maneuvering heavy equipment in a very narrow driveway.  The finished job is excellent.  Great care was taken to pave around my new retaining wall and the entrance to my garage.  They were very professional and courteous.  I have received many compliments on  the driveway from my neighbors.

His responsiveness was not real quick.  He did apologize the next day.  When they tore up the drive way it was a mushroom pushing the drive way up.

Horrible.  Nasty, arrogant guys that work for him.  The driveway I had installed 20 years ago was in perfect condition.  I seal my driveway faithfully in the spring and in the fall.  I decided to have my driveway replaced just because of its age.  Collins paving did  an okay job, nothing spectacular and I had even questioned certain areas with the owner when the job was done.  The only response I received was praise on good his crew did.  Really?  Now a year later, I have cracks throughout the driveway.  No response yet from Collins Paving.

UPDATE:
Jerry, the superintendent with Collins Paving came back and repaired the cracks, added asphalt to areas where it was needed and sealed the driveway. He was very professional and personable. The driveway looks great. Spoke with Steve Collins and thanked him for the repairs and told him how nice the driveway looks.

Jerry (the foreman) met with me to provide a bid for replacing my driveway. He really took the time to explain to
me the process of how it works and what to look for when receiving bids. When Jerry showed up to do the work, he really focused on the details and went the extra mile to get the job done right. He ended up needing more asphalt than I was quoted, due to an extra ramp they installed for me and some soft spots that required more material.  He wasn?t going to charge me for the extra material but I insisted since it was due to my add-ons and was required to complete the job correctly.  The whole crew was extremely respectful to my whole family, even calling my wife Mrs.  I have dealt with customer service representatives that didn?t conduct themselves as professional as this crew.  My wife and son gave the crew drinks and snacks, and every one of the crew said thank you.  I would 100% recommend Collins Paving Co.
