They took awhile to schedule but once they did the job was excellent. More work than thought had to be done. The final price was more because of the more work. They practically rebuilt my roof and put a knew attic fan.

Anthony was really busy with several other jobs but took the time to quickly stop over and resolve the problem so water would stop flowing into my home. He also gave a quote to fix the issue going forward, which we are going to have him do.

I placed a call regarding slate roof repair. I received a call back a few hours later. Unfortunately, they don't do slate roof repair and I was unable to use them.

I contacted Anthony for an estimate on a new roof. He was very prompt in getting back to me. He presented a detailed estimate of the job. His estimate was comparable to another we received. We have not decided yet on who we will use.

This company was paid money to replace copper flashing on a house I bought from an elderly woman...she paid them and they NEVER did the job and I had to get Rick John Roofing to come do the work. They told me that Coghill had never even been on the roof . I tried for weeks and so did my parents to get them to return calls and we heard nothing. I would never trust them with your property. 2014 update - still no responses from complaints. No refund sent for payment made and no work done.

No reply to two phone calls asking for a roof inspection and gutter check. Calls made in Spring and Summer of 2010.

I called Anthony at the beginning of March because I had water coming in at the back of my house after the major snow storm. He was busy with many other people experiencing roof damage, but was able to give me an estimate by mid-March. I had to follow-up several times to find out where I was on the schedule. While I understand that he was busy, it was a bit frustrating not knowing when the work would be done. Still, to his credit, Anthony did call back within a day or two each time. At the end of June, the workers came out and completed the work in one day. When I got back home, I noticed that there were nails protruding through the underside of my porch roof and some wood had come off exposing unpainted wood. I called Anthony and he came out less than a week later to fix the problem and even touched up the paint. Overall, the work is good. However, the not very thorough clean-up (I found wrappers, nails, and a razor blade in addition to the wood that that chipped off from under the porch roof) and the initial problem with the porch roof are the reasons for the B rating rather than an A. I would definitely feel comfortable using Coghill Roofing again. The relatively quick remedy to the problem I experienced with the work is the type of customer service that wins me over.

The owner, Anthony Coghill, came out the same day I called and gave me an estimate of $7,400.00 on the spot. I got estimates from two other roofing companies over the next couple of weeks and Coghill was the lowest by $1200.00. I contacted Anthony and told him I would like to hire them and he dropped off shingle samples the same day. I chose a more expensive shingle than was included in the original quote and we agreed upon the final estimate price of $8000.00 for the job. We began the process in the spring and had to contend with daily rain storms for weeks. I was quite impressed with the crews punctuallity, they were on site every morning before daylight waiting to get started. They would work as much as they could each day while dodging the rain. One of the guys had a weather radar app on his cell and they would check to see how long the rain was supposed to last and plan accordingly. On several days they waited out the rain or went off to lunch and returned to continue the work. The owner stopped by several times to check on them and always spoke to me about the progress. Anthony and I discussed options for the porch roof because initially he didn't feel it had enough slope to be shingled but we walked out on it together and decided it could be shingled and decided to do that rather than using a flat roof system he had originally intended to use. I was very pleased with his involvement throughout and he and the crew answered all my questions and pointed out any concerns so we could agree upon the best way to handle them. We had a few bad areas where the wood needed replaced and they pointed them out to me and showed me the repairs before continuing. The only negative in the entire process was that the crew was incredibly messy. They did very little cleanup during the job but rather did one big cleanup at the end. There were old shingles, felt paper and the plastic bags the new shingles come in everywhere; they were in the trees, in the yard, in the neighbors yard etc. I walked around the property and cleaned up several times and apologized to the neighbors. Otherwise it was a very good experience and the work was of a very high quality. The price did not change and I paid the agreed upon $8000.00 when the job was complete.

Tony showed up the day after I called him. He got on the roof and gave me a bid on the spot. We accepted the bid and he started the job within three weeks. They worked twelve hour days and got the job done before any rain hit.

Mr. Coghill was extremely professional. He returned all of our calls quickly and did the work when he said he would do it. We were very pleased with the end result.
