Computer Repair
Badly
Response from Classic It & Design
"She is just mad because she got a virus. I NEVER told her she was on her own. I asked her to bring the computer back so we could look at it and she refused. As for the wait time, we left messages for her and two days to call us back. That’s why it took an extra two days."

Computer Repair
1. First time we hired them it was to troubleshoot a network printing problem we had. They came out spent 15 minutes looking at it, and said it was a problem with the printer itself and to call HP to get the part fixed. The good news is they didn't charge us for this service call since we're about 2 miles from their office. We called HP, and after 15 minutes on the phone with them, they instructted us to change a setting on our computer and the printer worked fine and has worked ever since. Even though Classic IT was wrong, since they didn't charge us we tried them again. 2. We had them reinstall operating system on a Dell computer, which they charged about $90. We thought everything was fine, but about 3 months later the computer went into some reboot loop and wouldn't start up. We hired someone else to come out and look at the computer, and they couldn't figure out why it was doing it, so we had to redo the operating system install again and now it seems to be working fine. 3. After they did the rebuild, but before the computer crashed again, we wanted them to come to our office and redo our wireless network and troubleshoot it. We scheduled an appointment about two weeks in advance, and they didn't show up. We called, they apologized and said something came up, so we rescheduled for about anopther week later on a Monday at 11am. On that Monday, my wife and had some troubles in the morning but we moved h*ll and high water to make the appointment and we were literally speeding down the highway at about 85 mph so as to make it on time to our office, wehn we got a call at 10:55am saying the owner was cancelling the appointment. When we asked why, they said he got held up out of town from a weekend trip and didn't make it back yet from out of town. Now WHY they couldn't have let us know that before FIVE MINUTES BEFORE the 11am appointment is totally beyond me. Very unprofessional, very rude, very inexcusable. Do yourself a favor, and find another computer repair service!

"I am very sorry this happened the way it did. I told the girl I had working for me to call them the day before but she forgot. She is no longer with our company. As for the computer that crashed, after 3 months anything could have happened to it. I don’t see how they can blame me if the other guy couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it."

Computer Sales
My old computer died. Cory diagnosed the problem as a bad (old) motherboard. Luckily this meant the hard drive was still good - if old also. He recommended a new Dell computer for which he is a dealer. It was surprisingly affordable. We briefly discussed my needs. He handled the rest. When the new computer came in, he set it up and transfered my files. A couple of questions came up after I got it home, but he was always available to answer them. I never had to call a long distance number or arrange things by internet. He even recycled the old hardware. Only one glitch: my e-mail files would not import into Microsoft Mail. Even he was stumped, but I put this down as another Microsoft problem. Getting to like Windows Vista is another story for another time and place, but I am use to it now.
