C. Jones Painting

We were pleased with the work.  We felt we paid a fair price.  About 2/3 of the house was painted.  The rest is brick.

They did a phenomenal job.

It went very well.

2 men arrived and went to work.  They did a good job and got what I had expected done within the 4 hours paid for.

I purchased big deal and called him. I was asked to email the details which I did. However I heard nothing back and further attempts at contacting him went unanswered so I had my money refunded be Angie's List.

They were okay. They were very efficient when they got here but hard to schedule.

Bought a sale, which stated I could have 1 person for 8 hours or 2 people for 4 hours.  I thought that meant I could choose.  When I called to make the appointment, he said HE got to choose and he wanted to bring 2 people for 4 hours.  I think that should have been stated in the initial advertisement.  HOWEVER, once they arrived, they were very professional and willing to work with us.  They evaluated the room and made suggestions that would allow them to do as much as possible in the amount of time that they had.  Overall, the job looks great.  There was a bit of a quality difference between the "finish" painting of the two employees...but I'm probably the only one who can tell.  They even staid about 20min more to make sure that they got the whole job done.

The painting job went well, altho I was hoping to get a little more painted.  I was pleased with the work and would recommend and hire Chris Jones Painting again. 
I confirmed the Saturday painting appt. via telephone on Thursday afternoon and then took the Friday off to get ready.
Chris had some car problems and emailed me at my work email address on Friday. 
Since I was off, I never rec'd. the email and did not realize he wasn't coming until I had waited a hour and a half for him, and then eventually called him. 
He did come a couple days later, but that resulted in another used vacation day from work. 

After I accepted Mr. Jackson's estimate, the work was scheduled within a reasonable length of time.  In the end, it was completed satisfactorily, with very little mess considering the kind of work that was done.  It eventually required three different trips to my house before everything was done to my satisfaction, although there was no difficulty in getting someone to come back and redo a few things.

Chris provided a competitive quote for the work, and was available to start soon. Based on that and his good reviews I awarded him the work.
The quality of the work was good - Chris and his people pay close attention to detail and the walls, ceilings and trim that they painted looked great when they were done.
That said, I would not use this provider again.  The work took longer than it should have, and Chris isn't the most responsive contractor.  I asked him to focus on one room in particular (my office - as I needed it to work in) but he ignored my request and the work ended up taking days longer than we'd agreed.  There were irritating cost over-runs too - ie fairly trivial stuff that Chris said would cost "a few bucks" ended up costing a few hundred bucks each.  His crew left my house having "finished" the job, but left a mess behind them that they planned to clear up the next day, but didn't tell us about it.
Over all, decent quality work, but an unsatisfactory servie experience.

The two workman were prompt and efficient.  Time from arrivial to departure was 5.5 hours.  Cost was $3.20 a square foot.

Chris came with Bob, his associate and painted our entry way, stairwell, and upstairs hallway.  They were very professional and efficient.  Not only did they come on time, but did an excellent job and cleaned up before they left.  We will definitely use them again for any other future painting projects.

I would give them overall a B.

This was a special from Angie's List for Painter for a Day, and I waited until the last minute to schedule an appointment. I was worried this would cause a scheduling problem on Chris's end, but it wasn't. He scheduled a week later, showed up, quietly did the job with his partner, cleaned up and left. The most important part occurred later in the day when my hard-grading wife came home ... she was HAPPY!

Chris and his associate are very personable and did an excellent job painting my living room.  Everything looked perfect and they cleaned up and replaced all furniture when they were finished.  They also caulked the baseboard and it looked great when they were done.    Chris does get busy, so he did not always respond within a day or two. I had to make contact a couple of times.  I was not in a hurry, so it was not an issue in my case.   They were very pleasant and did such an great job I would use them again.

Chris was extremely thorough, neat and professional. He came to our house on a Saturday to look at the deck. He was obviously very knowledgable about the types of stain and he explained our options as well as the prices for those options (transparent versus solid stain, etc.) He then e-mailed us an estimate which we found to be very fair. We accepted the bid and Chris performed the job just as described in the bid. The only delays were due to the the rainy Pittsburgh spring and the thousands of blossom petals falling from nearby black cherry trees. Chris did not want to perform the work unless the conditions were correct and we very much appreciated this - we obviously did not want the stain applied to damp wood or want blossom petals stuck to the deck! Chris and his entire crew were meticulous and courtious - they cleaned up every day and there was not one drop of stain dropped on the underlying patio or furniture below. We love the result!! We defiantly recommend Chris and we will use him in the future!

They did a wonderful job.  They didn't even need to tape over the ceiling trim.

Chris came to my house three times to complete the work and did an excellent job of repairing our ceiling and matching the existing texture finish.  The second day was spent completing the preparation by cutting out the affected area, installing pieces of drywall and adding mesh and mud to buildup the area.  The last day was spent sanding the repairs and adding texture to the newly repaired area.  Chris and Bob arrived on time, protected the balance of the room well, performed the repairs requested very meticulously and cleaned up after each visit.  The repaired ceiling looks very good and is almost discernable from the balance of the ceiling.  I would recommend Chris to anyone who needs plaster or dry wall work.

We tried Chris because of the special he was running of "A painter for a day for $179".  We needed him to paint our hall and powder bath.  He did such a great job that we had him come back to do our Master bath as well.  We will definitely call him again!  Very professional.  Make sure you allow a few weeks for scheduling.

Chris was running a "special" around Xmas $179 painter for a day.  It was the perfect gift for my 72 year old mother.  I called Chris to schedule an appointment.  Chris called the day before to tell me what time he would be arriving.  Chris and his partner Bob assessed the job (painting a living room and hallway).  They were very neat by laying down drop cloths everywhere.  They even taped the baseboards!  Very professional, friendly and reliable.  When they had finished, they cleaned everything up and even moved the furniture back (which we took care of ourselves before they arrived).  I would definitely ask Chris back.

The first day of painting seemed to go well.  They seemed extremely rushed the second day as if they were hurrying to get to another job.  I have found areas that were completely overlooked, between door jams and the wall, between window wooden trim and the wall, for the most part, the 1/2 to 3/4" areas at the end of window trim and door jams were not touched at all. I had to ask for my extra paint to do touch ups on ceiling/wall areas as well.  Unfortunately, I will probably have to get this paint job redone again this summer.

Chris came out to survey the rooms, and after rescheduling two times, we finally connected. He told me because of the damage to my walls, he would need to charge more. We negotiated a price, and he came out on 1/26 to do the work. He was about 45 minutes late. He brought another man with him, and they were both very personable. They were very meticulous in moving the furniture and filling the holes in the walls. The job took longer than expected, and Chris said it was because there was more patching than he anticipated. They had to come back the next day, and were late that day also. They worked a total of two full days.

All in all, it was an outstanding job!! I have yet to find a single blemish or hole or dent that they missed! I was very impressed by how polite and professional they both were. I would hire them again!!

The price was reasonable.  They were on time.  They did everything they said and they kept it neat.

They were fairly good. It was kind of hard to keep track of their punctuality. He would say he would show up at 8:00 clock in the morning and would not show up by 4:00 clock in the evening. They didn’t call to say that they would be late. They were quite good. I would use them in the future.
