He mis-diagnosed the problem, failed to fix it, and charged me more than the Hyandai dealer did.
He also illegally transported dirty tires in the trunk of my vehicle and got oily fingerprints and mudprints all over the vehicle. Had I not JUST DETAILED the car, I may not have noticed this. When confronted, he admitted to transporting the tires.
He has an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau.
This guy is awful. Stay away.

as a knowledgeable auto repair person on a non-professional level... i do all my auto repairs. burts is the very opposite of going to a chain store auto parts shop. rather small and a throw back to the way auto parts stores were in days past. that is EXACTLY why i went there. the counter lady is not what you would expect but is equally as knowledgeable as any person in a chain store auto parts store. Burt on the other hand seems to know alot about parts and is not afraid to offer suggestions, ideas and advice. the parts do seem like a step up from what you would get at the local chains. i find the prices to be competitive as well. they dont always have everything you may need being a small store but so far im happy with Burt's.

ing for I contacted two dealers in the area and one other mechanic. Burt's quote was $200-$500 less than these other service providers. If you are looking for ornate waiting rooms and stete-of-the-art computerized billing procedures, go elsewhere. But if ypu want reliable repairs at reasonable prices, Burt is your guy.

Their prices are very reasonable. I never feel like they've overcharged. They're also local, and I like that. He has also gone above and beyond what other mechanics might do.

I got a call a few hours later with a laundry list of picky little things they said I needed to do for my car to pass inspection. The window motor needed to be replaced, which would cost $350 in addition to replacing one of the supplementary headlights, the rear wiper blade, and cleaning the battery contacts, together totaling $90. I told them that I would take the car to see about the window motor. When I picked it up the door panel was just laying in my trunk. Very unprofessional. At the second shop I was told that none of these issues were actually required to be fixed to pass inspection. I was also offered a significantly better price ($200) on the motor at the second shop should I choose to replace it.
These guys are crooks and liars.

They took quite a long time to repair the window. They have always honestly quoted me and fairly priced. I liked their services and will use the same in future.
