BODEN ELECTRIC

Bob and his team came and did a wonderful job on my house. A new circuit needed to be run to my attic and some holes needed to be made in my walls -- they kept the holes to a minimum and patched them where they ended up making some. Bob also came out to install a whole house surge protector and he tried to help with a short circuit in my old doorbell (before he had to leave for a family event; it was a Saturday when he stopped by). It almost feels like he and his team are part of the family.

Mr. Boden asked to see outside outlets. He got it right on the first guess. There was a problem in the outside outlets. He repaired the problem, and the outlets that had stopped working were again functioning.

Bob is a very experienced professional and quickly identified and solved the problem. Price was very reasonable and work excellent , highly recommend.

Great. Bob and his partner were prompt, efficient, and kept me informed. A day later Bob realized that he overcharged me by $40 and stopped by my house to rectify the situation. A lot of people would just have pocketed the extra money, so his honesty and integrity would definitely cause me to hire him again.

I've been using Jim for many years. I've always found him to be good and professional. I would recommend him to anyone. I trust him, he does quality work and I would have no problem handing him my house key if necessary.

Rewired entire house from basement to 3rd floor.  Older house, had all knob and tube wiring.  Bob was very professional, minimal damage to walls and he even patched where he needed to cut to get to wiring.   VERY professional, as was his crew!  Took 5 days but entire job was complete and excellent!

Mr. Boden was able to accomplish everything on both lists for a reasonable price and in a timely manner. He determined that the subpanel was now obsolete and could be removed. He listened to how I used various outlets and was able to install new fixtures that would most efficiently meet my needs. The bathroom exhaust fan had to be installed in a suspended ceiling, which turned out not to be a problem for them. A few minor issues turned up as they were working, such as incorrect wiring in breaker box, but they corrected that with no problem. They have everything they need with them on their truck. The two electricians on the job with Mr. Boden were polite and worked steadily and efficiently. I couldn't be more pleased!

I thought he was good. They were just very efficient and they got it done. It was higher than expected.

Bob was great! I called him because I turned on a switch it is was making a popping/crackling sound - obviously I wanted it looked at as soon as possible in case it was more than the switch and was wiring issue - Bob answered the phone - I gave him the details and where I lived - he said he would be out - he showed up - did the work and also was nice enough to look at a future electrical job - he was patient, professional and I will definietly use him in the future.

Bob replaced the interior electric panel (with surge protection) as well as the exterior power box. The circuit breakers were clearly labeled and work was completed in a timely manner.

A second good experience with Boden Electric. Bob Boden showed up at the appointed time, did the work in a timely fashion and cleaned up afterwards. He had to remove some trim and reinstall it to install the doorbell, and it looks as it did before. Very happy with the service.

Boden electric was very professional. After losing power to half of our house, I was able to reach the owner immediately. He came out and fixed the problem. Our previous contractor had not properly rewired our home when we upgraded from knob and tube wiring. Bob came out the same day and restored power to the house in a manner so that we can use our appliances again safely. He then did an inspection of other important points in the house and gave be a figure on what it would cost to get up to code.

This was a very difficult, and necessary, electrical upgrade in a 100+ year 3 unit rental house in Highland Park. The original fuse-panel type wiring was dated, and needed to be replaced. Bob surveyed the property, and said he could do the job in one day: all 3 apartments, all 3 new main panels, new service entrance to the building with new meter base, and new main feeds to the branch panels in all apartments. He gave me a price that was not much more than what I could have purchased the materials for and done it myself, which I was certainly not prepared to do.
Bob and his crew did the job exactly as promised, when promised. Bob is a craftsman in many areas in addition to electrical work. His understanding of building construction allowed him to quickly pull in the new wiring, including the heavy branch feeds, through areas in the house I never knew existed. Bob personally trains each member of his crew to do a professional and safe job, exactly to spec, confirming to all codes. Bob is all business, and when he starts a job, he finishes it regardless of obstacles.
Even though Bob's electrical work will likely remain covered forever behind protective steel covers, his wiring is laid out like artwork, with neat bends, carefully spaced conductors, and well planned layouts with no bundles of wire stuffed behind the panels. Bob expects the same level of craftsmanship and 'artwork' from each of his electricians, something which I observed on every job.
As an engineer, I pull the covers off everything after the job is done. I appreciate the pride, talent, and experience it takes for someone to take the time to do a neat job that functions perfectly, rather than simply get the job done without regard to how it looks.
Bob Boden and his crew has done three major jobs for me so far: two multi-unit apartment houses, and one large residence. Each job was perfect, easily exceeding my highest expectations. I will hire Bob and his crew for every electrical job they care to do.

Contractor was prompt when we agreed on a date and time for the estimate. He provided the estimate the following day. We agreed on the price and work to be provided. He was prompt on the day of installation. He worked very efficiently and cleaned up completely when finished with the installation.

I was very happy with every single service Mr. Boden performed. He is a pleasure to talk to on the phone; he returns calls promptly and is dependable in arriving for estimates and for scheduled work. And he is a super-nice and fair person. The story of the larger job he did for us one year ago is that he and his sons arrived on time in the morning and worked all day. They were professional, positive, efficient, and skilled. All the outlets, the range hood, and the fans looked amazing. Because of the great work he and his family did for us, I called him for the smaller job he did for us recently. I didn't even call anyone else. All the light fixtures he installed for us on this job look great, and I was very pleased with the cost of the work. His pricing is very straightforward. I will use Mr. Boden for any electrical work we need, and I would highly recommend him to anyone. He is very skilled and trustworthy.

Bob Boden Electric is excellent. Bob took the job on short notice, he was prompt and did an excellent job. He helped me sort through the buyer's inspection report and made suggestions on how to proceed. He completed the work in a timely, professional manner. He did all of this in a very personable and engaging manner as well. Great, reliable, knowledgeable service provider.

I've used them for probably 20 years and he is usually out a couple of times a year. He is responsive and he does really nice work. He may be expensive but I don't care because he does it right. He is a very good electrician and he shows up on time and does everything exactly the way I want it done. I haven't compared his prices but some people have told me that he is expensive.

a walk-thru of the property was performed, bob boden provided a detailed estimate, work was scheduled and done in a timely and professional manner. his workers were curteous and our place was left in good condition. the installation of the panel was done neatly and clearly marked. all of our fixtures were nicely mounted. bob provided suggestions to our project and offered opinions to save money. he is glad to do anything you want but does provide good guidance.

Very responsive. Was here when he said he would be. Was available with very short wait time. Price was competitive, and work was quality. I'd use him again.
