Bob installed 8 recessed lights in my living room on 2 zones with dimmer switches. The lighting looks beautiful, and because of access panels in my adjacent hallway, he was able to keep my living room ceiling pristine. I had to call him several times before being able to secure a quote and start date, but once we got that out of the way, it was smooth sailing: He showed up on time, the job only took a few hours, and I believe the price was fair. The lights look wonderful, and I'm happy to have them!

Bob has done work both at my home and the place where I work. In both cases he was fast and professional, and provided helpful insight about our electrical systems and potential future improvements.

Bob replaced switch, checked wires and ceiling fan and gave me a estimate on some other work I am considering. I have used him before and he is reliable, knowledgeable and reasonable.

I chose Bob Pickur to update my electrical panel based on the previous good reviews from Angie's List. I never thought this job would give me such a headache. The breakers in the new panel were used, not uniform, and some were rusty. One double breaker was replaced with a rusty 40 amp breaker which should have been a 50 amp. My previous panel worked fine (the brand was Federal-Pacific and has a bad reputation for failing to trip). Because of safety, I asked for my panel to be changed. Now I feel less safe living here with this new panel. I tried different ways to reach Bob but received NO RESPONSE. Now I have to ask for another electrician to replace it.

Bob was great. He listened to my requests and concerns and provided good advice and solutions, was prompt, friendly, reasonably priced and left the work areas very clean. I will definitely call him again.

Excellent!!!!   He called me back shortly after I called.  Was very through in diagnosing my problem prior to coming out in order to SAVE ME MONEY!!!!  Who does that?  He showed up exactly on time and figured out the problem and fixed it perfectly.  I can't say enough about Bob and the good job he did.   I recommend highly.  Oh, and he was very reasonable price-wise compared to the others I considered.

Once they arrived, they did not waste any time diagnosing the problem and getting to work on solving it. Overall very pleased with the experience.

I can't be more pleased with the work Bob and his crew performed.  My husband called last week and left a message. He promptly returned the call and our appointment was scheduled within a week. They arrived on time and were efficient.  Their work was outstanding and the was excellent. I highly recommend him and we will absolutely use him again.

Bob is wonderful and I would highly recommend.  Yesterday I had a roofer come to my house to do an estimate.  The roofer pointed out that I had an electrical issue I needed taken care of immediately -- there are electrical wires (coming from a telephone pole across the street) which are attached to my house.  The roofer pointed out the "attachment" part to my house had come undone and the wires were just hanging there.  I never noticed this because it's about 3 stories up.  I called Bob Pickur and left a message.  He called back within a half-hour.  I explained what the roofer had told me.  Bob knew immediately what he was talking about and needed done.  I asked him if he could come out to do an estimate; or if he knew about how much it would cost.  He said the charge would probably be about $150 and that he could do it within the next day or two.  I told him to come out and take a look and if it was in the $150 range to just take care of it while he was here.  A few hours later, Bob called back and said he was in the area, had some time, and asked if he could take a look at it now.  Yes, great!  When I came home that day, the job was done.  Although I don't know all that was required, I must admit the attachment to the house looks very sturdy and the wires are now hanging as they're supposed to.  Bob was a joy to work with.  I travel for my job and I just didn't have much time to call around and get this job taken care of.  All it took was one call to Bob and it was done.  I SO appreciated that.  Whenever I need electrical work done, I will have absolutely no hesitation to call Bob again.  He's wonderful!

It went great. The whole experience was very easy and stres free. Bob called me back the same day I initially contacted him. We made the appointment and he was very punctual. I was not actually sure what the problem was but knew I had a problem with one of the wires as it looked like it was on fire when I turned on the breaker. Bob found the problem and replaced the cord and rewired the well electrical box. He explained what he had repaired and replaced when he was finished. Bob is personable, honest, and extremely knowledgeable. I will absolutely contact him again.

My experience will bob was very good.  He returned my call quickly, gave me an estimate over the phone and was able to schedule the work in days, not weeks.  His work was absolutely top notch.  Everything is flush and simply looks great.  He and his team even took the time to straighten the cording on the chandelier.  The final cost did end up being higher than the quote I was given but there was some switch work that needed to be completed for the fans that he was not expecting.  I will be using bob again in the future and would absolutely recommend.

Bob did a great job figuring out how to hang a handmade chandelier that I purchased on Etsy from a craftsman in Poland. Great job - we are very happy with it.

Bob is very friendly and professional. We set up an appointment and he arrived promptly and quoted the job. He performed the work efficiently and cost effectively and had the job completed on time. He spent extra attention to detail in capturing all knob and tube wiring in the appropriate junction boxes. Realtor was very impressed and asked for his contact information for future jobs. i would give Bob my highest recommendatoin

Every time he came out to do work his hourly rate was always more than what he had quoted us. We only used him because we couldn't get another electrician to come in the time-frame we needed. We will no longer use Bob Pickur. He always charged us more than his quotes and he even tried to charge us for travel time and he wasn't even that far away. He also had to drill two holes into our kitchen cabinets because we just had them replaced and he tried to charge us more for drilling the holes because our cabinets were more expensive. I don;t understand what the difference is; he was just drilling a hole. He actually said that to us, that it took more skill to drill through an expensive cabinet than a less expensive cabinet. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life. Needless to say we will not be using him again. He was a nice enough guy, but he never charged us what he said he would.
