BIG Mike's Inspections, LLC

Big Mike previously inspected the house on the owners behalf when they were considering putting the house on the market.   The owners provided me a copy of the report.  I was impressed by the details within the report.  Big Mike is an engineer by trade and this was very evident in the precision of the report.

After I put an offer on the house, I contacted Mike to re-inspect the house on my behalf.  His price's were extremely reasonable and competitive!  Even though he had previously inspected the house, Mike spent three hours with me re-inspecting.  He opened up the electrical panels and looked in furnaces finding numerous hidden issues.  In fact, he even found a dip in a family room ceiling from a poor repair job that was not evident to the naked eye.  His engineering knowledge was evidence when he found a critical masonry issue with the house. 

Mike was fair to the seller and ensured the issues were legitimate and needed for the house to function.  Due to his reputation and fairness, the seller agreed to all of my repair requirements.

In addition, Mike spent a lot of time with me discussing proper home maintenance and how to operate various features in the house.  He spent as long as I needed in the house.  I highly recommend the prospective owners be present for his home inspection.

Mike promptly delivered a comprehensive and detailed report within a day of completing the inspection.

If I purchase another house in the future, I plan to call Mike to complete the job!  He is outstanding.

I ended up in a situation where I was buying a home & the agent was working for both me & the seller. I was reluctant to use a home inspector my agent recommended because I needed to know I was getting a totally unbiased & fair inspection. After reading all his positive internet reviews, I called Big Mike. He was VERY PROFESSIONAL  and reassured me that he would look at the home & take time to answer my questions.  The day of the inspection turned out to be total chaos because my friend came & the seller also stopped by.  Mike was  PATIENT in answering all of our questions in an EXTREMELY INFORMATIVE manner. He was EXCELLENT at explaining things in layman's terms & I never once felt talked down to. By the end of the inspection,  I felt like I a had a realistic view of the pros and cons in the home and how to deal with them. I also have to mention that the 30- some page report  Big Mike sends afterwards is AMAZING! It is one of the most user friendly technical papers I have ever read!
    I will also say that I ran into some snags with my negotiations with the seller, and Big Mike made himself available to help me put into perspective the major & minor issues of the house. Actually, the seller even called Big Mike with questions and Big Mike was able to explain to him why certain repairs should be done and how to do them. The seller ended up doing repairs I never expected! (TRUE STORY!) Not only that but a week away from closing my bank needed the inspection invoice (that I didn?t have) and Mike got it to me WITHIN HOURS!!!  Seriously, I know this is a massive review but he helped me out so much that I couldn?t fit it all into one tiny paragraph! That?s just how good he is! I really feel that Big Mike went above and beyond anything I had expected & although I?ve made dozens of mistakes in buying this house - I know using Big Mike wasn?t one of them.  I?m a REAL PERSON.  This is an honest and true review and you?d be a fool not to use Big Mike!  
(And yes, when you see Big Mike you?ll get why he?s called BIG Mike!)
